Interview with Jared on Supernatural Season: With More on the 200th episode
Zap2It has published their recent interview with Jared. It contains more spoilers about the 200th episode.
Jared discusses season 10, Sam’s relationship with Dean and the musicalish 200th episode.
What can you tell me about the 200th episode that’s coming up this season? That’s a huge milestone to hit!
Yeah, it’s awesome. The episode will be very meta. It’s a pure shout-out and thank you to the fans. I haven’t had the chance to read it yet but I’ve heard it’s almost similar to our “The Real Ghostbusters” episode. We’re not at a convention but we’re at a place where they’re doing a play based on the Chuck Shurley books. So not only are these books based on our lives, now people are doing a play based on these books, and someone is haunting it, so we go and try to investigate what’s going on at this play, based on the books about our lives. It’s certainly a direct shout-out to the fans and a thank you for their years of commitment to us. They are the reason we’re here. I can’t wait to read it!
I will say that this has me looking forward to the musicalish episode. It sounds like a good framing device to have a musical episode. All in all Jared is very positive and happy about the upcoming season. He gives some insight to how the season will start, a bit about Sam’s search for Dean and touches on his feelings about Crowley.

Hey I thought we established that SPN is no place for a musical, but opera. OPERA dammit! lol :p
Nate – you are funny.
I can’t wait until Season 10. I’m just thankful we still have my beloved Supernatural and my extra-beloved brothers. Hope Dean is back to human soon.
Jared’s interviews have been wonderful. I love what he’s been saying about S10 and Sam’s storyline. He’s even managed to stop me cringing over the ‘musicalish’ episode, I’m generally not a fan of the meta episodes but I did enjoy The Real Ghostbusters.
I am worried that we seem to be getting more information in Jared’s interviews than we generally get on screen. That has been very true for the past two seasons especially. Sam gets talked up a great deal and then when it comes to execution? Nada.
It seems Sams story gets played out in interviews before the show even begins and then when it does begin (Show) it gets skipped over. I’m fully expecting that to happen.
