More Supernatural at TCA Soundbites and Info on 200th Episode
Jared, Jensen and Jeremy Carver were talking about season 10 at the TCA today.
Alice storyfied most of the tweets in her article. There weren’t a lot of spoilers during the panel. Cas is still in the show and may be dying because of the fading grace. Dean will be a demon for more than one episode and he will be a different kind of demon than we expect. While Sam is hunting for Dean another mysterious character will also be on the same hunt and will cause complications for the brothers. At an earlier panel with Mark Pedowitz we were told that the CW hasn’t given up on the Supernatural franchise and they are still willing to look at a spinoff. No one has said the words “backdoor pilot” yet, so fingers crossed.
As Alice reported earlier the 200th episode will be called Fan Fiction. EOnline had more information. The CW hit is tackling a major first in Season 10: At the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour, showrunner Jeremy Carver revealed to E! News that Supernatural‘s 200th episode will be something of a “musical-ish” episode, which the longrunning series has never done. Feel free to take a moment to bask in the sheer awesomeness of this idea.

With the title of episode 200 being Fan Fiction, there were several questions directed to Jared and Jensen about fan fiction. Both said they don’t read it because they don’t want it to influence their interpretation of their characters.
When asked about Supernatural continuing beyond season ten Jared stated
I truly do deeply care about this show and about Sam Winchester. I don’t want him to be broken down, beaten down into something I don’t respect. And I respect this show. … We know the show enough and our characters, if there’s an end coming, we’ll all see it and won’t have to push it. When it’s time to hang up the Sam Winchester hat, I’ll welcome that chapter.
Jensen said
I think we’re all on the same page. We still get excited about it. That hasn’t tarnished in 10 years.” In fact, after the reading the Season 9 cliffhanger, he “got all giddy about it. As long as there’s that fulfillment, that excitement, then we’ll keep going.
Jeremy Carver stated
There’s so much story left to tell.
Then he talked about the cast and crew.
It remains the hardest-working bunch I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. There’s no quit in anybody.
All in all everyone seems happy with the direction of season ten. It also looks like Supernatural can go on for a long time.
