The retrospective has me a little concerned. Does that mean a 10 year milestone retrospective or a last season retrospective? Either way I’ll be there popcorn and tissues.
Considering Supernatural is one of the CW’s highest rated shows, if they knew that this would be the last season, we would be hearing about it. They would be trumpeting to Watch the final season! See how the saga ends! They did that for Gossip Girl and even Nikita. Season eleven isn’t a sure thing, but baring a major, major drop in ratings, it’s a pretty good bet. All they have to do is sign the Js, everyone else is replaceable more or less. Misha may be seen as needed as well, but Jared and Jensen are the lynchpins.
I think the retrospective is 1) to celebrate reaching 10 years, which is a major achievement and 2) to get another night of Supernatural’s ratings which are really good.
It all hinges on the J’s as far as I can see. I would sure like to hear some news about that. But for now I am very excited for a retrospective of 9 fantastic years….jeez 3 1/2 more months!!
I think Percy is right. 10 years is a milestone and I see the retrospective a celebration. I just hope I can see it too as it is not a regular episode.

First of all it depends on the CW if there is a season eleven. So far the Js were always asked ahead of time if they would be available for another seaon or two. But the CW has to ask them first. If the Js agree then they usually get a contract for 2 or 3 seasons more. In case the CW approached them already they will announce that at Comic Con. If they sign a contract for more seasons that still doesn’t mean it would be a sure thing that we will get another season. But the Js both said they will be there as long as we want them to be. And I believe that. On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind to see them act in other things – successfully. Maybe a movie or two.
