Preview Interviews For Supernatural: Bloodlines
The planted spinoff, “Supernatural: Bloodlines” airs tomorrow and writer Andrew Dabb has taken to the interview circuit! If “Bloodlines” does get picked up as a series, Dabb will assume the role of Creator and Executive Producer of the show along with Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer. The episode needs to sell though, and Dabb is giving his best pitch in both the interviews below.
The first one is with Vlada Gelman at TV Line: http://tvline.com/2014/04/28/supernatural-bloodlines-spin-off-spoilers-sam-dean-return/
The second interview is with Jim Halterman at TV Fanatic:

ETA: Here’s a new one with Sadie Gennis at TV Guide. Dabb’s quotes are the same, but I love how she’s broken out what to expect from this pilot. She’s been a skeptical critic of the idea and tries to address concerns:

We will have full reaction here tomorrow after the episode airs with our “Let’s Speculate” discussion. Tell us if you think it’ll be a series you’ll watch or not.

Are Carver and Singer going to split duties with SPN? I knew Singer would planned over there, but Carver splitting duties or leaving SPN is news to me…Pperhaps S10 is the last season planned for SPN. I actually expected a S11, or a shortened season anyway, just to top Smallville’s run.
No, Jeremy Carver’s number one duties are as showrunner for SPN. He just gets a title on this show too. However, that’s assuming it goes forward. This show is not a lock by any means. It’s in contention, but not a sure thing.
On the topic of S11, they are planning it. From what I hear, an end date for SPN is not being discussed. It’s been the number one show on the network lately. As to who will be the showrunner, that’s not certain. Carver may not want the job. Adam Glass is a contender. I personally am hoping that once Revolution gets cancelled (and it will by next month) Kripke will come back, and maybe Phil Sgriccia and Ben Edlund too. That’s still hope though. 🙂
Well it is still EK’s baby. He and BE are close friends. Do you think that SG might make a return as guest writer maybe? That would definitely recapture the old feel of the show. We would have a writer that loves Castiel, one that loves Sam and one that loves the brothers. How could that possibly go wrong.
