We’re back to angel drama! It’s Castiel! Oh thank Chuck. How we have missed you all. I’m even overlooking that this episode is written by Eugenie Leming Ross and Brad Buckner. could care less whether cas comes back or not. the shows been great without him. he comes back =-the boys turn into morons again.
Thank you Tia.
It is good to know that I am not the only one not missing Castiel this season.
Not only do the boys become morons when he is around, but they also become guest stars of their own show.
Reactions to his appearance and filling out some of the purgatory story. Really looking forward to both. And on a personal note I love Castiel as a character. But I like the whole angel arc as well. I look forward to seeing more of Cass unfolding in new ways. I also find his character a great foil to Sam and Dean, showing us more of who they are in a very dynamic way. Bobby did something of the same but his character did that more through relationship than contrast or challenge.
Thank you, tia and nancyL, for showing me that I am not the only one out here who doesn’t like Castiel. People seem to forget that Supernatural existed just fine before he showed up. Castiel is a crutch. He’s ruined a perfectly good show.
The brothers act like Dumb and Dumber when he’s around, and he totally ruins any kind of believable suspense. When they’re hurt, he heals them. If they have to travel somewhere, he transports them. He shows up and tells them what to kill and how to kill it. I knew Carver would not have to balls to kill him off. Oh well, I might as well go back to watching ‘Leverage’.

And I thought I was the only one too.
S1 – S3 were brilliant and they can recreate the magic from the past. They just can’t take the risk I guess like you said to kill off the character.
Bobby can die but Castiel I don’t think so.
