Official CW Episode Synopsis for Supernatural 8.01

SAM AND DEAN ARE REUNITED AFTER A YEAR APART — Dean (Jensen Ackles) re-emerges from Purgatory, but he isn’t alone. He heads straight for Sam (Jared Padalecki), but the reunion isn’t exactly what he thought it would be. Sam drops everything to join his brother, but leaving the life he had grown to enjoy turns out to be harder than he imagined. Dean and Sam look for Kevin (guest star Osric Chau) who has managed to escape Crowley’s (guest star Mark Sheppard) grasp, but things come to a head quickly when Kevin tells them what it is that Crowley wants. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#802).

This is just a little “thank you” for helping this fan get through the nearly unbearable time between the SPN seasons. It truly has been hellatious! Remembering back to the 73rd day on the countdown I wasn’t sure how I would get through the summer sane. Your updates, trivia, games & interviews have been invaluable. Aww, thank you for being a part of this site. It’s funny, my first Hellatus was after season 3. I was in such agony I thought I’d die that summer. That’s the summer I started blogging for SPN. When Hellatus started for season four, we started posting daily (when we were a tiny site). At that time it was just me and elle2 doing everything. The mission was we all would get through this Hellatus together. We didn’t stop after that! We have literally been posting daily and going non-stop since that pledge to get through the first Hellatus. Now I’ve been though five Hellatuses, this one being the longest yet. I feel battle torn but victorious! To think I put up that countdown clock with 97 days to go.
Anyway, I’m tickled that we helped you through this one. It means we’re still doing something right! Thank you for your wonderful message of support. It validates everything we do here.
