The First EVER Winchester Family Business Charity Auction is Now On!

The Charity Auction is On!

For those that may or may not know, a lot of Supernatural fan sites are big into fundraising.  We have and always will support every single one.  However, and I’ve admitted this in the past, I suck at fundraising.  I think we all do!  Charities however kept coming to us for support, so I got creative. 

A few months back, I started the Winchester Family Business Supported Charities program.  Those charities that rely on Supernatural fans to spread the word about their organization and needed our help were given space on our Fandom Page.  We’ve shown support via tweets and spreading any news and information through links to their pages.  

So why are we doing an auction? 

A funny thing happened.  A fan, Jill Beesley, had a bunch of Supernatural stuff that she had accumulated through the years and was looking for a way to pass them on.  Suddenly, I realized I had an accumulating pile of Supernatural memorabilia from my countless visits to Supernatural cons, Comic-cons, and just general items.  My dear friends Lynn and Kathy at Fangasm had several items as well.  When Claudia Drovinsky  offered to donate some items as well, it was clear.  An auction had to be done!  

The truth is, we’ve got an impressive list of items.  And a long one.  Enough to keep this auction going for a few months.  So not to overwhelm everyone and myself, I decided to list 4 to 5 items at a time every week.  I’m listing everything on my jesterz.net eBay account, which is The Winchester Family Business and TV For The Rest of Us parent company (my freelance business).  

Most of these items are autographed Supernatural magazines and pictures from cons, but there’s several unique items as well.  The best one is a very special gift from Lynn and Kathy at Fangasm, who have donated this to us in honor of some very big news coming soon.  Let’s just say this news is several years (and many Supernatural cons) in the making, and I’m so happy to see all this hard work finally pay off for them.  Stay tuned for more info.

So please, keep checking back every week to see all the great stuff we have.  Half of the proceeds are going to help Circle F Horse Rescue Society in British Columbia (an organization that Samantha Ferris has done volunteer work for the last several years), and the other half will go toward A Dog’s Life via our friends at Support Supernatural.  I know about the passionate international fandom (since 45% of our traffic is international) and will ship any item to anywhere in the world.  

Thanks in advance for your support and please help spread the word for us.   The concept of a Winchester Family Business fundraiser is an odd one, so anything you can do to help will be most appreciated. If you have any items that you are willing to donate, let us know!  You can contact us either through the comments or the "Contact Us" section.  It doesn't have to be Supernatural related, and all items will be graciously accepted.
