Season Two
While waiting for season seven to begin (why is it not here yet???), let’s fondly look back at the genius that is season two.
“Hollywood Babylon” –Robin’s Rambles by Robin Vogel I couldn’t keep up with all the inside jokes in this episode, and am sure I missed a bunch. We have a movie being made within our TV show, HELLRAZERS II: THE RECKONING, starring Tara Benchley, who makes a fanboy (and one night stand) out of Dean. Aside from…
“Croatoan” has always been an odd duck for me. The theme of this episode is “important for later.” This was a setup episode, one clearly designed to push events into motion for the next installment, “Hunted,” and beyond. Real action was sacrificed for a character story, namely Sam and Dean, and in reality, Dean. His…
Just the title alone tells you a breakdown is coming. Children, aka Sam and Dean, playing with dead things, aka Angela the zombie, who is going to open up a whole mess of wounds that were already festering. Bringing back someone from the dead? Of course, that was going to unravel a tightly wound Dean. …
“What is and What Should Never Be” –Robin’s Rambles by Robin Vogel Of all the episodes of SUPERNATURAL, this one is often given as many fans’ number one favorite. For me, next to the one in which Sam dies, it’s also the most heartbreaking. Trust me when I tell you that the first time I saw…
Happy “Supernatural” Day! Yes, thirteen years ago today, September 13, 2005, “Supernatural” premiered on the now defunct WB Network. It remains the ONLY show on the CW from it’s original lineup. “Supernatural” is also still adding to that title of longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series, a feat achieved back in season 11. …
The Music, Season 2: In My Time Of Dying: The recap comes to “Stranglehold”, and since Carry On, Wayward Son hadn’t yet become ‘THE’ music, it seems right. In fact, every season premier has been different, Season 3 opened to “Hell’s Bells” by AC/DC and Season 4 to “You Shook Me All Night Long,”…
Wonderful! Season 2 does have a lot of iconic moments in it, and you captured them all wonderfully.
Gotta love a shout out to the Trickster!
Season two rocked!!!!!!! 😀
Intro to a whole bunch people. Most of whom are no longer with us. Some we miss (RIP Ellen, Jo, Andy). Some we cheered when they died (Gordon, Ava, Jake) Intro to the Croatoan sickness, the Trickster, djinns and the list goes on and on.
But Julie, we now know that John made the ‘second’ deal. 🙂
Season two, good times. 😆 😆
Love love the second season. Hard to believe all those we loved are now dead.
Loved sweet Andy. Adored the Trickster, Jo and Ellen. (well, I liked Jo!) Don’t forget poor Madison.
Loved to see Gordon, Ava and Jake bite the dust.
My favourite seasons are 1, 2 & 3.
Thanks Julie.
Thanks Julie for another wonderful slide show. Ah, Season 2 which introduced us to the irrepressible trickster as well as the nefarious Gordon. From watching the hilarity of Dean as a PA to the incredible heartbreak of Sam killing Madison. What a season. 🙂 the actors really stepped up their game and we got to see a lot of Bobby Singer, who was a terrific addition to the show. They certainly packed a lot into this season.
As this will be my final article on the site I would just like to express, to everyone who posted such nice comments here, my heartfelt thanks
