Mallena’s Musings: Supernatural 13.06 “Tombstone”
For this article, I decided to stir things up a bit. I’m in a weird mood, so I’m doing some very strange and random musings at the end of my Supernatural review. You’re welcome.

The ghost is scary, Sam’s pleasing, two familiar characters have reappeared, the guest stars are memorable, and Dean’s still gloomy in the fifth episode of Supernatural.
When this episode begins – Dean is still pretty frosty, but because Sam asks so nicely, Dean’s going to give Jack a chance. Intriguing things are happening on Supernatural and this season’s going somewhere interesting, I’m (almost) sure.
This episode won’t be in the running for a spot on my personal favorites list of Supernatural stories, but it did have one scene in particular that’s pretty darn awesome.
Last week, I embraced my inner Chuck and pronounced the premiere episode of Supernatural to be “not bad.” This week, I’m going to have to go with “not terrible.” I really hope this trend doesn’t continue and the episodes get better, but for now…there’s some enjoyment to be had. I did laugh a few times…
I’m happy to be reviewing this first episode of Supernatural Season 13. I’ve tried to have few expectations about the awesomeness (or not) of this new season, but to just let the story wash over me and see how it made me feel. The verdict: In the immortal words of Chuck, who didn’t deign to…
There’s something about this episode that really appeals to me. It’s one of my favorites, but exactly why is hard to pinpoint. The guest actors are wonderful in their roles (especially that adorable dog) and Sam’s beginning his descent into madness, once again. Add a Dean kidnapping and Hallucifer into the mix – it just…

Richard Speight, Jr.’s birthday was on September 4th and in his honor, I’m writing a review of one of his best episodes. This is my favorite Supernatural episode and it’s a treat to get to write about it.
Who loves the idea of time travel? I do! The possibilities are endless as I contemplate where and when I would like to go if I had a time machine. Sam and Dean are no strangers to this phenomenon. This time around, Sam and Dean are not going anywhere (anywhen?), but are being visited by…
This week, I’ve been musing about family dramas. There are many great examples of the genre in television, films, and novels. I wanted to review an episode of Supernatural that had some poignant family drama, so I picked the premiere episode of season five. This episode has incredible drama between our favorite brothers and also…
One of my favorite things in the realm of storytelling is a haunted house. I’ve always been fascinated by the concept of ghosts and poltergeists. In real life, I’m pretty sure that I will never meet a vampire, but ghosts…they just always seem to be hiding just out of eyesight when I’m alone in the…
