In My Time of Dying
Even as a disembodied spirit, Dean doesn't lose his smart mouth. Sam and Dad are fighting. Nothing new there. However, when you're a ghost watching this fight and can't do much to stop it, all that's left is to take a swipe at the nearest object around. As the cup goes flying to the floor, spooking both Sam and John, Dean is a little more impressed.

"I full on Swayzed that mother."
Tessa the Reaper is ready to take Dean to the next life. It's natural, it's right.   Maybe not.

"I think I'll pass on the 72 virgins, thanks. I'm not that into prude chicks anyway."
Children Should Play With Dead Things
Dean had some real issues in this one, especially with being brought back from the dead still lingering in his mind. What better way to project all that angst then to have some snarky fun with a dude who got a little too desperate in chasing his love interest. His dead love interest.  First there's the cover.

"It's your grief counselors, we've come to hug."
Then the confrontation.
"I've heard of people doing some pretty desperate things to get laid but you take the cake."
"Your girlfriend's past her expiration date and we're crazy?"
The Usual Suspects
You're not going to get a better fake-confession-so-my-brother-can-get-away than this. Lord knows someone has kept this around the jailhouse for a good laugh.

"My name is Dean Winchester. I'm an Aquarius. I enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and frisky women. And I did not kill anyone. But I know who did. Or rather what did. Of course it can't be for sure, because our investigation was interrupted. But our working theory was that we're looking for some kind of vengeful spirit."
This was a pretty downer episode, not a lot of room for wisecracks. Still, when faced with the prospect of death, Dean laughed in the face of it. When refusing to leave Sam behind after he was infected, Sam told him this was the stupidest thing he’d ever done.

“I don’t know about that. Remember that waitress in Tampa? Brrr....”

Another great review of some of the best lines in the show...there are so many but I love the ones you've plucked from the past.

In the words of Dean...check that off the to do list, only a few more lists, a few more reviews/looks at the past...a bit more angst and voila, Season five is here.

love Dean's one liners - i always find myself trying to work them into conversation. But you did miss out my favourite quotes from Tall Tales: what could be worse some alien made you his bitch.

ooh are you going to do an article on Sam's line because he does have some good lines like from tall tales:
Dean - what's wrong with my food
Sam - it's not food anymore it's darwinism!
ok it might have to be one article but still...

but yes Dean rocks the one-liners can't wait for the other articles.
