The CW has jumped into promo mode for its new shows and one getting some decent attention has been Walker: Independence, the spinoff to Walker.  This tells the story of the first generation of Walkers in Texas and how it all started.  It's a period piece, but they constantly stress in interviews this is not your mother's Western.  Either way, The CW finally has its shot at a Western.

Let's start with some recent video clips from The CW.  Want to know some of the characters?  Meet Calian:

Meet the ancestor of Hoyt Rawlins...Hoyt Rawlins!

Naturally we've got to get to know Abagail Walker. She's the whole reason the characters in Walker exist!

This is the longer promo The CW is running for the entire series.  It is simply called, Justice.

These are the Promo Posters for the first season per The CW:

Entertainment Weekly has a nice preview explaining more about how this show came to be.  It interviews creator/showrunner Seamus Kevin Fahey and the other cast members.  They also share a 30 minute video with the cast and one very familiar face to us, executive producer Jared Padalecki.  He hosts a little cast roundtable via Zoom called, "Around The Table" with Walker: Independence. Participants are Seamus Kevin Fahey, Katherine McNamara, Matt Barr, Justin Johnson Cortez, Katie Findlay, and Philemon Chambers.

This is a recent bonus, but host extraordinaire Damian Holbrook from TV Guide hosts the cast for a 30 minute online interview for the PaleyFest Previews series.  Participants are Seamus Kevin Fahey, Jared Padalecki, Katherine McNamara, Matt Barr, Katie Findlay, Greg Hovanessian, Philemon Chambers, Justin Johnson Cortez, Lawrence Kao, Gabriela Quezada.  It's really nice to see what great chemistry this cast has!

The premiere is slated for October 6th at 9:00 pm, following the Walker season three premiere.

Is there anything else out there on Walker: Independence I haven't shared yet?  Please share in the comments!
