Welcome to Season 11 discussion page! The introduction text at the start will always be the same and even though there are "no rules" there are some guidelines for these pages. These pages will be updated frequently when the material is available.

1. Site rules are also good guidelines for the discussion.
2. Use Spoilers! word at start if you have a new spoiler about an unaired episode that people can discuss. The updates show on the main page.
3. When the episode has aired Spoilers! is not needed.
4. For all, this is a page to analyze, speculate, discuss about the episode BUT do it past your good/bad personal opinion about the show, a character, story, writer, show runner or anything that is part of the show. Target is to keep the discussion going and fun for all. Also the ideas, speculation and episode analyzes I have heard really deserves a spot to get out.
5. All are welcome!

S11 - Episode one "Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire"

THE WINCHESTERS FACE THEIR BIGGEST THREAT EVER — Picking up where the finale left off, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) must deal with the Darkness that has been unleashed. Castiel (Misha Collins) deals with the effects of Rowena’s (Ruth Connell) spell and recalls his brutal battle with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Robert Singer directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#1102). Original air date 10/7/2015.

The spell is going to last awhile and it will have a profound impact on him. It will be even more pronunced than the Mark of Cain on Dean. -buddytv.com

The last time we see Castiel, he's under Rowena's spell. Where do things pick up for him?

Misha Collins: In the exact same place. We pick up season 11 with Castiel still being under Rowena's spell. The time cut is negligible; we are really picking up right where we left off. Castiel is dealing with the attack dog spell and The Darkness is just falling.- popsugar.com

So, I suspect Sam and Dean are trying to find Castiel and hunt down Rowena to remove the spell? Cas is not evil of course so it is nice to see the boys to help him for a change. And after it is resolved to take on the darkness.

Castiel, first and foremost, has to find a way out of this spell that Rowena has cast on him,” executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine. “That’s not as easy as it may sound. Being under the influence of this spell, it’s going to lead him to some pretty uncomfortable situations.

Meanwhile, the King of Hell seems to have fared much better, having survived the confrontation without a scratch. But there’s a new source of trouble for Crowley, who is “very much trying to figure out how he is going to navigate this new world where The Darkness threatens just about everything,” Carver previews.

Another spoiler!! I am not sure that its about episode 1 though, the episode wasn't specified. The spoiler comes out of VanCon, and is about this picture......

Anyhoo, someone at VanCon asked about this picture and the demon tattoo that Jared is sporting in the pic. Jared indicated that the tattoo was on him because there is a flashback scene to a time where he still has the tattoo... yeah for continuity! Could the flashback be when he was till Gadreel? That story could REALLY use some shoring up from Sam's perspective IMO. Then the fan (logically ) asked why Sam was running around in the here and now without a tattoo and Jared kind of skirted that issue, by saying that it was "Because I'm Sam F-ing Winchester!". I am not sure if he didn't have an answer because it hadn't been addressed by the writers or if he was trying to not spill any beans or let any cats out of any bags. He was being very cagey and I found that a very intriguing little spoilery bit.
