Behind the Scenes: Video Interview with “There’ll Be Peace When You Are Done” Author Lynn Zubernis
Is there anything fans can do to help process the grief we are all feeling over losing Supernatural?
What do Jared, Jensen and Misha think Supernatural‘s legacy will be? What do you think it will be?
These are some of the questions addressed in Dr. Lynn Zubernis’ latest book, There’ll Be Peace When You Are Done: Actors and Fans Celebrate the Legacy of Supernatural. Written specifically to help the SPNFamily through the difficult transition of losing the show we all love so much, “There’ll Be Peace” shares insights from 20 cast members (including Jared, Jensen and Misha) and 18 fans on topics ranging from how the show changed their lives to how they believe it has changed the world. I explain much more about the book’s messages and my reactions to reading everyone’s personal stories in my review of its themes and potential for broadening the show’s impact.
After reading “There’ll Be Peace”, I sat down to talk Dr. Zubernis to go behind the scenes of creating the book. As a Psychology professor and licensed clinical psychologist, plus a friend to the cast, Lynn shared fascinating insights on the topics of Supernatural‘s legacy, fans’ grief, and working with the cast to write a second book about their experiences with the show. Our hour long interview was uplifting, validating and a lot of fun! Enjoy!

- I’m the Co-Editor-in-Chief, Social Media Manager (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), Live Tweet Moderator, reviewer and feature writer for The Winchester Family Business. Before joining the Supernatural Family, I worked for 22 years at a global consulting firm, but after years of long hours, high pressure and rigorous demands, I quit corporate life to raise my children. After my first Supernatural convention, I was driven to share my shock and awe in a two-part essay that The WFB was brave enough to post, and my second life calling, that of being a writer, began. My first published book, Fan Phenomena: The Twilight Saga was released in late 2016. Please share in my cross-fandom excitement by following its Facebook page @FanPhenomenaTwilight and my personal Twitter account @LSAngel2. You can read about this whole miraculous transition in my chapter in Family Don’t End With Blood, published in May 2017.
