Now Accepting Your Nominations – The WFB Supernatural Season 14 Fan Choice Awards

You thought we forgot about this, didn’t you?  Sure, we’re a little delayed from years past, but how could we not take time to look back at Season 14?  How can we not offer the opportunity to the fans to speak out about what they loved, what they hated, and what they were indifferent to in this now official second to last season?  That would be heartless!  

Ever since season seven a certain number of award categories have been set aside and offered to you, the SPN fans, for judgement.  It gives the fandom that chance to be heard, just because we care.  Before I can come up with a final vote though, we need nominations! 

I have pre-selected 17 award categories where you, the Supernatural fan, will eventually select the winner.  Just list your nominations for each category in the comments.  

Every year I get the same complaints come voting time, “Why didn’t you nominate XXX for this?”  Because it didn’t come up during the nominations, that’s why!  If you want it on the vote, now is the chance to enter your favorites.  If we don’t get enough nominations in a category, then the rest become admin’s choice.  Again, do you really want to see that happen?  I can get pretty damned creative!  

Fan vote results will be announced first as part of our “Supernatural Season Fourteen Awards” series.  As with prior years, there will be several Editor’s Choice awards as well.  You know I have some pretty strong opinions and this is my platform to be heard.  

Below are the 17 categories.  Remember, only nominations from season fourteen episodes will be accepted. Also, some categories have nomination disclaimers so those are noted below.  For example, DON’T waste your priceless nomination on “Carry On Wayward Son” for Best Use of Classic Rock/Any Song. It will be ridiculed by me and mercilessly tossed out.

Best Shout Out to Pop Culture in Season 14

Worst Crime Against Supernatural by the Writers in Season 14

Best Gratuitous/Totally Sexy Moment in Season 14

Best Plot in Season 14 (Pick episode plots or multi episode arcs – the season long mytharc doesn’t count)

Worst Plot in Season 14 (Pick episode plots or multi episode arcs – the season long mytharc doesn’t count)

Best Use of Classic Rock/Any Song in Season 14 (Note, “Carry On Wayward Son” is NOT eligible)  

Best Callback to Previous Supernatural Seasons in Season 14 

We do accept write in categories, but it’s got to be a pretty good one to be considered.  Two years ago “Best Callback to Previous Supernatural Seasons” was a write in.  Now it’s a regular category!  This is your chance to live the dream.  

Now for the fun part, the nominating.  Remember, be creative!  Try to remember those obscure episodes and references that gave you a chuckle or got you to shed a tear during initial airing and have been forgotten about since.  Not sure what those moments are?  Check out our season 14 episode guide.  Perhaps that will jog the memory.  

Because of our late start this year, nominations will only be open a week.  Nominations close at 11:59 pm ET on Sunday, June 30th.  The most popular nominations in each category will be chosen and used for the final fan vote (five to seven per category).
