Memorable Moments: Supernatural 13.07 “War of the Worlds”

Welcome back to the Supernatural “Memorable Moments” series! For 13.07, “War of the Worlds”, I once again put together a list of what I felt were the best and most memorable moments from the episode. The list varies from episode to episode depending on what transpired.  I hope you enjoy it and share what your picks would be!

Best Broment

Dean comes in the room and asks Sam if he’s found anything on Jack. Sam informs ‘No nothing yet. I put an A.P.B. out to every hunter we know, but Jack is off the grid.’ 

Dean: The kid was pretty spun out. We’ll find him. I mean there’s got to be a sign at some point, right?

Sam: Yep.

Dean: The kid can cause a Tsunami with a hiccup. 

Sam: I don’t know, maybe he’s covering his tracks. 

Cas comes in to join conversation. He feels that maybe he’s been ‘dragged to Hell by Asmodeaus or possibly worst, been hi-jacked to Heaven by Angels. 

Dean: Isn’t he too fast and furious for Angels?

Cas: Maybe, maybe not. That’s why I’m gonna find out.

Sam: Find out from who? Find out from the Angels?

Cas: Yes. 

Dean stands up ‘ Alright lets go.’ Cas tells Dean he can’t come with him, his contact is anxious around strangers.

Dean: So introduce me, then I’m not a stranger. I’ll bring a six pack. 

Cas: Dean I swore I would protect this boy. Let me do this.

Dean: Don’t do anything stupid.   

 

Best Lucifer Moment

Lucifer breaks free from the two lugheads and leaps through the portal. 

And comes back to his universe. 

He asks passers-by where he is and receives a rude response.

Lucifer confronts the woman ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’ She gives him money and tells him not to spend it on drugs. He tells her ‘I’m Lucifer’ and snaps his fingers to vaporize her. However nothing happens. 

He tries again to no avail. The women replies ‘Honey, you’re not Lucifer, my ex-husband is Lucifer’.

The women head on their way while Lucifer still tries his powers on other pedestrians.

 

Funniest Moment

Dean receives a call from the Manager of the Stampede Hotel advising that their desk clerk is missing after being questioned by ‘an evil Col Sanders’ . 

It’s not apparent that Asmodeus is tracking Jack. Dean points out, ‘Which means he’s two steps behind and we need to find him fast’. 

‘I should say’ replies Ketch as he chomps down on a sandwich. 

Dean looks over to Ketch. An awkward silence cast on Dean… 

                                                                   

Ketch…..

and Sam. 

After a few seconds Dean turns to Sam and asks ‘What the hell is this?’ 

‘He’s in chains. There’s no bathroom in the Armory and it’s been about a day and a half.’ 

‘Do I look like I care?’

‘Judging by your rage, my brother must have behaved very badly. I understand your mother is the one who killed him?’ 

Dean: And he had it coming, after what he did to her.

Ketch: And how is she now?

Dean: She’s good. (turns to Sam) Would you put him back. 

 

Best Castiel and Lucifer Moment

Cas and Lucifer talking in the bar. Lucifer warns Cas that Michael from the Alternate Universe plans to invade and take over.

Cas informs Lucifer that he will have to talk to Sam and Dean first. 

Lucifer reacts by banging his head on the table. ‘Why? Why? Why? With all their second guessing and their whining. 

Lucifer continues to persuade Cas into teaming up as well as with Jack to stop Michael.

However, it became clear to Lucifer that Jack is missing. ‘Oh my dad! You have no idea where he is.

     

Best Surprise

The return of Kevin Tran! 

 

Most Nostalgic Moment

The multiple Phones set up for specific Agencies…..

Much like Bobby’s setup from “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid” (5.15) 

 

Best Camera Shots

I loved all the shots from the opening scene. Showing the beginning of the Universe. 

The rise of evil. 

… the Mountains ….

…the Grand Canyon …

…Water Falls…

…Beautiful sunset…

…flowers blooming despite the ice… 

…and a beautiful rainbow.
