Memorable Moments: Supernatural 12.15 “Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell”

Welcome back to the “Memorable Moments” series for Supernatural! For 12.15, “Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell”, once again I put together a list of what I felt were the best and most memorable moments from the episode. The list varies from episode to episode depending on what transpired.  I hope you enjoy it and share what your picks would be! 

Best Broment

Sam getting a call from Mick.  

He realises he has to be honest with Dean and tells him he’s working with the BMOL. 

Dean is not happy that Sam lied to him but has to agree they have saved a lot people. Dean agrees to work with the BMOL, but if anything should seem suspicious, they are to pull out.  

I also have to go with….

The group is dividing up, Sam with Gwen and Dean with Crowley.

 

Dean turns to Sam and tells him ‘Take care of her’. 

Sam assures Dean that he will.

 Of course Dean…even if Ramsey circles back, as long as we keep moving Gwen’s gonna be just…(Sam clues in) ….you’re talking about the car. 

Dean: You tend to ride the brakes. 

Sam: Dean, I know how to drive.

Dean: I’m just saying, okay, just imagine she’s a beautiful, beautiful woman…

Sam: Oh come on! I’m done! 

Best Sam Moment

Sam going to battle with the Hell Hound…. 

and defeats her. 

Best Dean Moment

The brothers return from a ‘back to back to back’ hunt. Dean is impressed with the bat he used that was once was used by his Dad. 

A blood and guts covered Dean sits down despite Sam’s protest. 

And as Dean pulls some Siren flesh from his hair…. 

he flicks it off his hand, not caring where it lands.  

Best Castiel Moment

Castiel holding his FBI badge upside down. I know it’s been overdone but it still makes me giggle. 

Best Crowley Moment

Crowley mimics Dean in a gruff voice.

Crowley: Fancy. They bring out your eyes.

Dean: Shut up!

Crowley: Shut up. 

Dean: I mean it Crowley.

Crowley: I mean it Crowley.

Dean: Go to hell.

Crowley: Go to hell.

Best Lucifer Moment

Although he is shackled and had some ‘kinky’ head gear placed on him, he still remained calm, witty and cocky.  

Although once freed by a couple of ‘Meathead’ demons, his true nature returned.  

However he was taken aback by demon Thomas’ comment

Lucifer: Sorry, kid. You understand, right? No – no witnesses or anything, yeah?

Thomas: Yes. Take me, oh, Fallen One! My life is yours to devour.

Lucifer: See, now you just made it weird. 

Best Bad Ass Moment

Crowley returns to find that Lucifer has been freed.

A smug Lucifer lets Crowley know that his reign is over. 

Lucifer even gets a good punch in on Crowley. 

and as Lucifer displays his full powers… 

with a snap of Crowley’s fingers, Lucifer’s powers disappear.

Crowley then explains that Lucifer’s vessel is his new cage. 

Best Nostalgic Moment

Diner owner Herb Nelson reminded me of ….  

… Ronald Reznick (“Nightshifter”), both being believers in the extra-terrestrial, with a wall collage of their suspicions…  

 

although I’m not sure if Ronald believed that the Queen of England was an alien. 

However, they both had recordings of events that showed ‘reptile eyes’ or…..

….’man-droid eyes’ 

Saddest Moment

Marcus rehearsing his proposal to Gwen ‘Just Man-Up, she’ll say yes’. Not only was he killed before asking…. 

… Gwen later admitted to Sam that she didn’t feel the same way. She now regrets not telling him the truth, as he would still be alive. 

Best ‘Awwwww’ Moment

Gwen giving Crowley a hug for helping save her (although I feel that should have been Sam’s hug). 

Best Alias

Agent Solange (sister to Beyonce)…..  

…And Agent (Ginger) Baker and Agent (Eric) Clapton from the band Cream. 

Best CGI/VFX scene

The giant paw prints on the carpet.

Best Editing

Dean and Crowley walking into the woods…..  

Then showing them in the Hell Hound’s view. 

Best Angle Shot

Seeing the brothers through the sheers… 

….of the door window.

Grossest Moment and Best Camera Shot

Although the blood and guts covered bat that is left on the table is gross, I do love the shot.
