Memorable Moments: Supernatural 12.07 “Rock Never Dies”

Welcome back to the “Memorable Moments” review series! Once again I have put together a list of what I felt were the best and most memorable moments from a Supernatural episode. The list varies from episode to episode depending on what has transpired. This week’s review highlights 12.07 “Rock Never Dies”.   I hope you enjoy it and share what your picks would be.  

Best Broment

Dean talking to Sam about L.A., California ….

then realises Sam’s not listening to him….

Sam is listening to his IPOD.

After Sam tells Dean he was listening to some history podcast, Dean decides to listen as well..

However, to Dean’s disgust, he finds out Sam was listening to Vince’s music.

Sam explains that it’s research and turns it up louder for a unimpressed Dean.  

Best Sam Moment

Sam not finding this case a win. Yes they saved all the fans but still many people died.

Best Dean Moment

Dean getting fed up with trying to get all the fans out of the building….

So he says ‘Screw this’ and shoots his gun into the ceiling to get everyone moving out.

Best Castiel and Crowley Moments

I have to say I loved all the Cas and Crowley moments but I’m just going to pick my two favourites…

Castiel reads from a binder ‘The seeds from a ripe dragon fruit drizzled with exactly one ounce of Acacia Honey, prepared in a ceramic bowl. No plastic. What is this spell?’

‘Breakfast!’ responds Crowley.  

While portraying agents, Dean and Sam go to talk to Roseleen to get information from her.

Dean tells Cas to stay and watch Crowley.

After the brothers leave, Crowley comments ‘Together again’….

and Cas responds with a unenthusiastic  ‘Yeah’.

Grossest Moment

A pulled out tooth …..EWWWWW….

Best Makeup

Crowley’s bashed up face and that eye…..I’ll say it again …..EWWWWW.  

Most Chilling Moment

Lucifer handing Roseleen a pocket knife….

wanting her to prove her devotion to him….

and her willing to cut herself to honour his request.

Full Circle Moment

Sam pouring a drink of ‘Cucumber  water ‘ from the decanter and…

…getting Dean’s reaction…… Then…..

seeing Dean pouring and ….

drinking the same drink… and ….

getting Sam’s reaction.

Most Nostalgic Moment

Oh the memories …..seeing an ‘Album being played on a record player/stereo system’ …. my whole childhood and twenties being relived.

Saddest Moment

Tommy being killed. I liked him.

Best CGI/VFX scene

Lucifer/Vince being regenerated.

And a dead and decayed Vince.  

Best Scenic Scene

The Hollywood sign.

Santa Monica Pier.  

The Walt Disney Concert Hall.

And the beaches.  

Best Angle and Lighting Scene

The down view of a covered Vince, with the stage lights shining down on him and the investigators.
