JIM BEAVER RETURNS A dangerous creature is accidentally released into an old house, attacking a mother and her child, leaving them both in a coma. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) learn that Bobby (guest star Jim Beaver) and Rufus (guest star Steven Williams) once tracked the same entity so the Winchesters look to the past to come up with a plan to catch the monster before any one dies. Stefan Pleszczynski directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson. Original airdate 3/23/16.

The return of Bobby and Rufus was covered by TVLine.
In an interview with TVLine, Jeremy Carver stated
“[Dean and Sam] are going to be investigating an old case that was once investigated by Bobby and Rufus,” in what would have been Season 5, executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine.
“There’s a lot of great throwbacks to things that happened” during that season, the EP continues, including “the wonderful relationship between Bobby and Rufus. That’s going to be a really neat episode.”

So we get to see a case that Bobby and Rufus worked, even though they were on the outs. What kind of creature do you think this is? Why weren’t Bobby and Rufus able to stop it?
