CW Official Press Release for Supernatural Episode 11.11
The official description of episode 11.
SUPERNATURAL “Into the Mystic” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
DEE WALLACE GUEST STARS —
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a case where people are suffering violent deaths after hearing a mysterious song. John Badham directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (#1111). Original airdate 1/27/2016.
I’m not getting much from this description. What kind of song is triggering the deaths? Is it a new kind of supernatural creature, like a Siren? What do you think will happen? Let us know in the comments or in the discussion thread for episode 11.
*where is the confused emoticon when you need 1* *confused my both the episode title and info*????
Into the Mystic is an old Van Morrison song.
i understand 🙂
I wonder if it’s the song itself that is killing people or the entity singing/playing the song (like a siren). I wonder if this could have something to do with Death himself?
i’m getting a huge déja vu! I just cant put my finger on it! And who is Dee Wallace exactly?
Eliot’s mom….. ET phone home!
She was also the mother in the movie “Cujo”. Which to this day I have a very hard time being around large dogs.
Is this the episode that Jared and Jensen were really excited about a music cue? Saying it could quite possibly be one of the top five music cues on the show. That it was such a good music cue they even put the song into the script?
Dee Wallace is Elliot’s mom from ET. I believe she was also in The Howling. I just am comforted in the description itself. It tells me that all is ok with the Winchesters….and gives me more hope that what we saw in the last ep, might not be what we think we saw….or at the very most….it’s not the complete picture of what we think we saw….which makes me 🙂
: Where’s the angel
From what I understand the original title for this so was supposed to be The Sound of Silence. Which would make sense because there is a deaf character in it. IF it’s the ep I’m thinking of.
Into the Mystic is a Van Morrison song which supposedly had to do with the spiritual. Morrison himself said that ‘I guess it just means were all part of the universe’ (at least that’s what I remember). So take that for whatever it’s worth. 🙂 Morrison put out a lot of great songs. Crazy Love being one, Brown Eyed Girl another?
oh ok! thanks 😀

That should be interesting. If the ep is really about a song that is dangerous, maybe the boys enlist the aid of a deaf person because she is immune to the effects of the song.
Maybe this is the long imagined ‘Sam and Dean can converse a lot without words, just in looks’ episode? I am thinking if a deaf person is immune then earplugs would also work.
If it were to be anything like, or as good as, Buffy’s ‘Hush’ that would be a great episode!
I haven’t seen Hush since it aired, but I remember thinking that it was outstanding TV. I haven’t quite worked out yet why earplugs would not be a sufficient/suitable protective measure, let me think about it and get back to you.:)
Well they need the deaf person in the story as the miner’s canary. (This would be the deaf person who may not even be in this episode). Once it becomes clear that the deaf person survives Sam and Dean know how to protect themselves! The bad guy is killed (it turns out to be the caretaker pretending to be a ghost), all is resolved! Dean flirts with the deaf person. The brothers fail to communicate whatever information they need to fail to communicate to continue the storyline next week. Sorted!

Sorry eilf, too late. This rumour has now become fact! The episode will definitely feature a deaf person who will be immune to the dangerous music, prompting Sam and Dean to use ear plugs to protect themselves. And please note how I’ve spelled rumour- you’re welcome! 🙂
Thank you Samandean10 that spelling is much appreciated for this non-American type 😀 All rumours should become facts I believe (except the one I just spent a week debunking …. ).
Also I really would like to see the guys communicating by look 😀
Breaking news!!!: Stephen Amell to play deaf, female character on unspecified episode of Supernatural (newly renamed Amellywodworld). Protests from various groups ensue.
‘We are disappointed but not at all surprised’ says Tumblr.
Heh eilf… what prompted your latest development? I love it that Stephen Amell is now playing a woman. Ha!
I want a job with one of those online article-generating sites. So I am showing them the extent of my ability to extrapolate from minimal information 😀
Plus SA can do ANYTHING. I bet he turns out to be Amara’s brother…
Very funny! 🙂

You know who won’t be protesting? The Padamell shippers. Or should that be the Amellecki shippers? what say you, oh goddess of the internet rumour mill?
It is officially Amellecki – yes it has an official name (there is no hope for humanity). 😮
