Fans have a petition asking the mayor of San Antonio to make March 3 The Always Keep Fighting~Jared Padalecki Appreciation Day.
Sandra Echeverri has created a Jensen Ackles Birthday Project. She has started a GoFundMe page
Jensen’s project this year is going to be big! With great ideas and special events that will all take place with the purpose of creating the perfect gift for an amazing guy. All donations collected will be donated to the PACK fund set by Jensen and Jared. A beautiful theme journal will be generated for you to add your birthday messages, and a poster with the signatures of everyone who donates will be printed and given to Jensen at an upcoming convention.
Fans are also working on a birthday project for Gil McKinney. They are asking for donations to Attitudes In Reverse. They are also planning to present Gil with a Happy Birthday Video
We’ll also be compiling a Happy Birthday Video! Send in photos, pictures of hand written notes wishing him happy birthday or anything else you want to tell him, little videos of you wishing him a Happy Birthday or just write us something you want us to add in for you. Deadline for submissions is February 1st so the video can be ready by the 5th!
Finally, Misha’s Minions Want YOU to Buy Farm Animals for the Holidays.
A group of Misha Collins fans, including previously interviewed Shatterproof Challenge participant Ari, have dubbed themselves Agents of M.I.S.H.A and have started a holiday campaign in the name of kindness. The campaign, called Holiday Heifer, aims to buy livestock for families in need through the Heifer International charity. Though the money will be going to the Heifer International charity, the idea is inspired by the goals of Misha’s charity Random Acts, which encourages people to perform random acts of kindness daily to make the world a better place. While Misha isn’t directly involved with the project, all funds are being raised in his name. When the project is complete, he will receive a card detailing what animals have been purchased on his behalf.
The Supernatural fandom is blessed with many creative and generous people. Our attachment to this show and its stars have helped worthy causes. We all come together to celebrate our stars. It is wonderful to find more outlets where we can help them find the recognition they deserve and where we can share our own talents as we create projects inspired by our show.
