Happy 10th Anniversary Supernatural!

Sunday September 13 was the 10th anniversary of the showing of the Supernatural “Pilot” and there was celebration throughout the Web!

It wasn’t a Friday the 13^th but a Tuesday, September 13^th in 2005 when television audiences were first introduced to the demon fighting duo Sam and Dean Winchester on the then WB show Supernatural. Now, 10 years later and airing on The CW, Supernatural still inspires its fans to happily “carry on” rooting for their favorite hunters.

It seems like Supernatural‘s Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) have been saving people, hunting things and keeping the family business going forever now. But it all began on Sept. 13, 2005, when the Winchesters took their first ride in the Impala together. In honor of the drama’s 10th anniversary, Joyce Eng and Sadie Gennis decided to look back on where the brothers’ road began.

People’s Choice picked their best episodes from each season

I’s been 10 years since the adorably sarcastic Winchesters started taking down paranormal big bads on Supernatural. As one of TV’s best brother duos, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have had plenty of out-of-this-world (literally!) adventures throughout the past 10 seasons, and luckily, fans have been able to tag along for the ride. And what a ride it’s been. From tackling urban legends to coming up with the scariest villains around,  Supernatural just seems to keep getting better with time. With more 200 episodes in the can, it’s hard to choose just one favorite. Instead, we’re breaking down the greatest episodes from each of the 10 seasons in honor of the series’ milestone anniversary.

In honor of Supernatural 10th anniversary today, Sunday, September 13, 2015, we’re celebrating this monumental achievement by pooling our resources and selecting the best episode from each of the show’s 10 seasons. And in no way did we choose these episodes by getting drunk and blindly throwing darts at a wall or arm wrestling between rounds of karaoke. Nope, the following episodes were very carefully chosen via super scientific means so secret and scientific that we can’t even tell you about them. So without further ado, here are the 10 best episodes of Supernatural by season.

Since we unfortunately didn’t have a few extra years to rewatch the series in honor of this day, we instead decided to scour the internet in search of the best gifts this show has given us, in the form of some of the best GIFs on the internet.

Over a span of ten seasons, Supernatural has created a complex, spellbinding ‘other’ world peopled by angels, demons, werewolves, monsters, indeed all manner of supernatural creatures. It has introduced viewers to an assortment of formidable characters, villains and heroes — from snarky demons, earnest angels to devious witches and conflicted vampires. It has built majestic mythical story arcs which straddle entire seasons, even as it churns out engrossing standalone episodes featuring the monster of the week.
