I can see why Sam is reluctant to go on hunts. He’s on a mission. As for the monster, I REALLY hope it’s something novel. It does sound icky. I wish SPN had more of a budget for special effects. So many of the other network shows can have some really creepy creatures. Grimm and Constantine for instance. It will be human looking you can bet on that. 🙂
Agree on this and about Grimm and Constantine. I think it is more where the series are shown for the budget. Can’t wait to see the episode though. Few more days for a new one. 🙂

Why have fans made such a big deal out of that? A character looking at books or a computer screen is not all that exciting but I guess the writers became aware of the fans who complained that Sam didn’t do enough research on Dean’s behalf so now they make sure to include boring scenes like that.

I have to agree that the whole “Sam is desperately researching” is about a year too late…a scene like that would have made more sense EONS ago back when Dean first took on the mark. I only hope that there’s some context given for Sam’s interest now… why he’s upped the intensity of his search and why he feels that he must hide it from Dean. Although, context for what Sam does or why is going to be hard for them to establish because Sam doesn’t speak to anyone other than Dean and it’s Dean that he’s now hiding the nature of his search from, so how are we supposed to find out?
I just read the synopsis for this episode and I thought the Khan worm was in
the episode where Dean kills Gwen his cousin. Repeat monster I guess. ok.
