They wanted a quick fix.
Cas was the obvious easy choice a way to bring him back and solve Sam’s story in one fell swoop now it is isnt Cas adorable and his craziness is ‘funny’ .
I am really really bad at speculating.This clip does not tell us much.If what blue steel tells is correct i will be disappointed.Powers were burden for Sam,every experience because of demon blood were horrible but not for Cas then it will be disappointing.
