Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Supernatural Christmas Songs
An Angel Came Travelling
(From Chris de Burgh’s A Spaceman Came Travelling)
An angel was travelling in a coat from afar
’twas light years of time since his mission did start,
And over the Midwest he stopped his light raft
And hung in the sky like a star, like a damn star”
He followed a cry and almost had fled
When he saw a boy child lying there in a bed
Blood drops were littered around his head
But he still had the face of an angel, and he was afraid
Then the angel spoke, said “I wasn’t here
When this demon fed you his unholy beer
But I’ll bring a message for others to hear
And they will save you, there will be cheer!”
And Cas went La, la, la”
Peace and goodwill to all men, and love for this child
His lovely words went trembling through the ground
And many ghouls awoke at hearing that sound
They travelled down the road till Lawrence they found
But Azazel was the fastest fiend on that compound”
And just before dawn two boys were hunters made
But the angel then watched, knowing what here was paid
When decades will have passed they’ll lead a crusade
And their song will win in the end, so don’t be afraid”.
And Cas went Lalalalala”
The whole world of fandom is waiting to hear that song again
There are thousands sitting on the edge of their seats
And an angel is moving somewhere, the time is nearly here
This song will begin once again, to a brother’s love”
Gosh of course I was singing this lyrics while I was reading them. It was really fun.
Loved it how you put in there “and Jas can’t find a rhym” big laugh at that one.
Jas I loved them all but I do have to say Julies is my favourit. – Forgive me
And the pics – great at least I finally found out why I was on a diet the other day during lunch.
Merry Christmas Jasminka.
Loved this. 😀
My favorite song is ‘Bobby the vet’ran hunter’. 😆
But, ‘Santa Sammy’, had my favorite pictures. Loved puppy-dog eye Sam, and of course there is the one of the shirtless Soulless one.
Hi Jasminka and Julie
This was wonderful and very creative.
I loved all the pictures that went along with the songs.
I was also singing along with the new lyrics.
Thanks so much for this.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you for the dedication Jas.
I really enjoyed working on these with you. As you know you have created a monster as it is impossible to swith this off once you start. Now, as well as all the other Christmas carols I have now `aldulterated`, my mind has started on other songs and I find new lyrics spinning round in my head constantly.
What have you done? Just how many songs is it possible to ruin? 😉
The only one I was not aware of was of course `Marys First Child` which naturally you knew I would love!
Glad you all enjoyed them and once again I apologise for possibly ruining these wonderful old standards for future years, and for also causing distress to poor Yirabah, who was eating her lunch when I found a certain tasty image which I sent to Jas via CBOX, security guard platter anyone?
Thanks and hope you all are enjoying the holiday Ju
Hey, this was fun!!!
Thanks Jas and Julie, ladies, for sharing!
Merry Cristmas!!!
I think Mary’s 1st Child is my personal favorite, but Santa Sammy is a close second. Bobby the Vet’ren Hunter ranks up there too. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to sing the original lyrics; I like the new ones so much!
Merry Christmas!
You guys need to go on tour with these, seriously!
So between the Pagans and the torture and the car freshener Christmas tree and now these songs, I’ll officially never look at Christmas the same way again.
I can’t pick a favourite, honest to God I can’t. They’re all awesome. The Power of Love even made me a little teary-eyed (damn hormones). Plus, the pictures accompanying each one are gorgeous.
Jasminka, Julie, thanks so much for these. It’s so amazing (and humbling) that you guys do this in your free time and then put it on here to make us happy. A big bualadh bos (round of applause) to you both.
Late to the party here, but Jas and Julie, that was awesome! Really good job with those. I laughed at all the appropriate times and marveled at your ability to re-create those lyrics. Thanks so much for this! I’d much rather listen to these carols than the original versions.
Yirabah, NancyL, Leslie92708, Karen, Dany, Julie, Freebird, BagginsDVM, Tim the Enchanter, Ardeospina, I am a bit late to answering your lovely comments, been away for about a week and rarely had the opportunity to venture tot he www….
Yirabah, love it that you loved it, And – no need to apologize: as I said, without Julie… who knows when I would have finished this?!
NancyL, I just couldn’t resist a Santa Sammy version… guilty pleasures galore…
Califonian Leslie, I’d love to hear your squeal… hehehehe (witchy laughter…)
Karen, happy to help you pass the Christmas time!
Dany – it’s a well-known problem, alas, I have the same one. Whenever I hear those songs now, I also hear the other lyrics… those other, funny, sick… lyrics
Julie, it has been nothing but joy working on this with you. And sick fun. Have I created a monster? HAHA! Finally, I get to play Frankenstein a bit!
Lara, I hope you had a beautiful Christmas down by the sea!
Dawn, perhaps we should think of producing a Supernatural Christmas Songs CD?
EnchantingTim, ha, what a brilliant idea! ‘Lawrence-Sick-Tours proudly presents…’ I trust when we hit Eire we’ll make sure to put you in the front row!
Flamey, it was so much fun ‘transforming’ the lyrics. Once started, stopping was impossible, like a runaway motorbike…
Thank you everyone. On behalf of Julie and myself – we’re honoured and happy to have provided such fun for you for those sentimental days of Christmas. Love, Jas
