Watching the humiliation of Crowley was most uncomfortable to watch.

THE BECHDEL TEST

So far in Season 11, 6 out of 13 episodes have passed this easy gender fairness Bechdel test,
or 46% of the episodes.

F5TESTBECHDELBORD

Normally, I would be DEPRESSED, but this failed gender fairness test was completely overshadowed
by a positive comment about gender equality referencing Rosie the Riveter.
Women were called upon during the war to do men's work and these women proved
that they could do a "man's job" and do it well.
The poster resurfaced and became an iconic image for Feminists in the early 1980's.

BEST PERFORMANCE

So many contenders!!

F9TWEETJBORD

Mark Sheppard's performance of Crowley's humiliation with a tinge of suppressed anger was disturbing
and mesmerizing.

F99PERFORMCROWBORD

All the crew, Grant Harvey (Petey), Taylor St. Pierre (Galley Cook / Harris) and
Darren Dolynski (Captain Dearborne) took us to another time and quickly
established a connection. We did not want to lose these people.

The beautiful and talented European star, Weronika Rosati, as Delphine Seydoux,
captivated her audience with a literally kickass performance.
Bravo Femme De Lettres!

Richard Stroh ruled as Befehlsleiter Gumprecht.

G2PERFORMNAZIBORD

Jensen Ackles (Dean) impressed us with his complex dialogue scene with Delphine interrupted
by Petey and he overwhelmed us with emotion at the end making everyone reflect
on the tragic loss.

The real mind bending performance was Misha Collins acting as Lucifer, as played by
Mark Pellegrino who portrayed Castiel, as performed by Misha Collins.
That's one for the record books.

CONGRATULATIONS MISHA COLLINS!

That was a stellar episode from start to finish. I have always been a WWII buff, and I love movies from and about that time period. Kudos to all involved, in front, behind the cameras, all the crew. Wow, that is going to be one of my favourite Supernatural episodes of all time! And thank you again Wednesday for a great run down of the episode. And thank you to Jared for pronouncing "une femme de lettres" properly! ;) I am French, so I appreciate proper pronounciations .

Lots of women smoked and wore pants in the 1940s. My mother, her sister and all their friends among them. They were doing it in the 1930s. Young women were influenced by Hollywood films. Think Katherine Hepburn. She looked great in slacks, as women's pants were called.

Totally agree that this was a 5 out of 5 stars episode for Supernatural. Any chance that this can be submitted for an Emmy Award? The SPN Family, all of it, is sick and tired of this epic series -- among the few outstanding ones done for television -- continually being ignored and disrespected. Come on, we can push this Sisyphean boulder up the hill, right? We never give up, do we?
