Welcome to Season 11 discussion page! The introduction text at the start will always be the same and even though there are "no rules" there are some guidelines for these pages. These pages will be updated frequently when the material is available.

S11 - Episode twenty "Don’t Call Me Shurley"

ROB BENEDICT RETURNS – Amara (guest star Emily Swallows) unleashes a dark fog on a small town, causing everyone to go mad. Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) realize this is a stronger version of the original black vein virus Amara previously unleashed. They team up with the sheriff to protect the town but their old remedy no longer works. Meanwhile, Chuck (Rob Benedict) returns with an interesting proposal. Robert Singer directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (#1120). Original airdate 5/4/2016.

Jensen said Singer gave him the choice of wearing the amulet or putting it in his pocket. He chose to put it in his pocket. Dean kept it. Jensen said he knew all along that Sam had it but it was surprise to Dean. Dean was surprised and touched that Sam had it all along.

“Supernatural” Season 11 – 5 Reasons Why Chuck Could Be God

3) At a ‘Salute to Supernatural’ event in Las Vegas, Jensen Ackles who plays Dean Winchester had given a hint. He had said (via Enstarz), “I’m not going to give it away! [You] probably already know.” So, this sort of does imply that all those rumors and theories about Chuck being God could very well be correct.

4) As mentioned before, Rob Benedict will return in episode 20 and if you take a look at the cast for that episode on IMDB, in front of Benedict’s name, “God” is clearly mentioned. This really is a huge hint towards the fact that Chuck really could be God.

5) Then, there is what Rob Benedict himself blurted out when a little girl asked him how it felt to play God. According to IBTimes he said, “Awesome, to be all-knowing.. I didn’t know that I was God until…” and then stopped maybe because he just realized that he had let the cat out of the bag!

I have some *Spoilery* news which I THINK pertains to this episode....but I can't be sure.

If anyone follows Misha's Live-Stream videos via Facebook, then you might have seen his most recent one. It's only a couple of minutes long. He's showing the most recent prank that J2 (I assume) have pulled on him by taking his clothes from the wardrobe trailer and placing them in locations out of reach. lol. It's hilarious, but anyways!

He's in costume and is wearing his old Castiel clothes!! Old Trenchcoat and tie and everything! And he took a moment to fix his hair which tells the nerd in me that they had his hair styled like it used to be in seasons 4 & 5 too! So, I'm guessing we are getting a flashback sequence with Castiel by the end of this season. That would be pretty awesome!! Either that, or Cas just gets his old look back after Lustiel ends (which I would prefer LOL).

Anyways, it's a tiny spoiler. Only gives away the possibility of something, but I can't wait! Also, if there is a proper place to dump random spoilers (not for a specific episode) when/if we come across them, someone please let me know.

Jared: Episode 20 may be my favorite Supernatural script of all time.
Quest: Better than the French Mistake?
Jared: Yeah

Jared said when he read the script he had tears in his eyes and also his body reacted emotionally to the script.

Jared: My second favorite scene (on season 11) that I shot all year long... entire year... is the third to last scene in the next episode, that we haven't shot yet (episode 20).
Jensen: My favorite scene... happens to be any scene from his (Rob Benedict's - Chuck's) episode

Not excited about the idea of Chuck being God either. I hope the writers go back and re-watch/watch the previous eps, cause I'm not excited about a lot of retcon.

Rob Benedict will reprise his role as Chuck — Dean and Sam’s possibly-All Powerful prophet pal — in Episode 20 of Season 11, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Details about Chuck’s reappearance are being kept under wraps, but the current season’s heavy focus on God’s sister, The Darkness, suggests that the man believed to be The Creator may at last be showing up for a confrontation. Or perhaps he will respond to one of the Winchesters’ pleas for help?

I have seen people wanting Chuck to be God for a long while. From season 5 at least but I really don't want Chuck to be God. BUT he can be the speaker again for God as we have not had prophets for a while. So I would like Chuck to be a messenger from him not God himself. I don't have that great view about God in this show. Chuck is nice and sweet. I want him to remain as such. :)
