Editor's Note: In anticipation of Supernatural's final season resuming on Oct. 8th, The CW is rerunning several of the initial 13 episodes from season 15. To get us all back into the groove of watching and discussing each story, Deb has agreed to share her recap reviews of the good, the bad and the random of each episode! Enjoy!

This is how this works: I will give my TOP 5 choices for the Good and The Bad of each season 15 episode that has aired thus far, PLUS a random fact that may or may not have anything to do with the episode. It depends what I am thinking at that moment! After you read my opinions, I would like to hear your TOP 5 Good/Bad list from the same episode. The point is that every episode must have both good and bad stuff for you, or you are not being honest with yourself. 😉 “The Bad” stuff might be easier to write when the episode is not to your liking, then other times “The Good” will be easier. The Good/Bad stuff can be silly things - that is alright too!

This will be a good catch up before we all watch the last new episodes. So, if you like, join me in watching the reruns. Start back with 15.01 "Back and to the Future" , 15.02 "Raising Hell" , 15.03 "The Rupture"  , 15.04 "Atomic Monsters" , 15.09 "The Trap" and 15.10 "The Heroes' Journey" if you missed them, then let us check out the next episode! Hopefully, I can write these recaps for all the remaining episodes. We Got Work to Do!

Supernatural 15.11 "The Gamblers"

The GOOD

daria angel

1. A and B stories both good
2. Whole freaking cast was good
3. Jack is back!
4. There's something about pool...
5. Gregoris

SPN family 15x11

1. Striking a good balance between the A and B plot is usually tricky, but for me, it worked here. I was very curious what detective work Castiel was doing (B plot) and then we have the boys working on their luck and actually a baddie that was very interesting (A plot). I was very worried about Jack and what was going on. When they added Gregoris to the mix, it was wonderful. I think a lot of people can see themselves in the victims who were "trapped" playing for luck, seeing no way out. I guess this episode hit home even more this year. We definitely need a lot of heroes at the moment.

2. Bloody hell, this episode had a great cast! Everyone was so good. From Lynda Boyd, who played Fortuna Moira (she immediately rose to the top of the villain and then frenemy list for me), to Lalo Espejo, who played Joey Six (who I rooted for and, in the end, felt sad for). I have been little disappointed in demons and angels for a while because they lost their glimmer, but Gregoris... Their appearance has been 2 for 2 for me. It is a shame they did not use them more.

3. I missed Jack so I am glad he is back. Alexander Calvert plays him so well (he seems to play anything he touches so well). In essence, Jack is as complex as our boys and he has also been through a lot. I mean, you cannot be an honorary Winchester without dying at least once, right? Castiel and Crowley surely know about that.

4. I do not know about the rest of you, but I think there is something “sexy” about people playing pool. I have had the same reaction whenever I have seen pool scenes in movies or TV. A lot of the appeal comes from the filming, editing, music etc. of the scene. The boys playing pool has ALWAYS looked good. I was mesmerized throughout the scenes.

5. Like I said before, the Gregoris are fierce, evil, and dangerous. They do not care about anything or anyone. Well, maybe one another, as they have their own angel channel. I think even the other angels were afraid of them. Well, maybe not the archangels but you get my point. All the lore about them was also pretty cool with their own swords that had been carved with their name. Too bad we will probably not have more episodes that have them.

The BAD

daria devil

1. No touching Baby!
2. Nooo, cowboy :(
3. Dean in "hunt God" mode
4. Likes children?
5. So, eating up bleeding hearts, are we?

SPN baby 15x11

For this episode, I had really hard time figuring out the bad stuff, but here goes...

1.  What is the deal with hurting Baby? Well, okay, I know the deal, but I still do not like it. It is weird that fans are so protective of a car (I know, calling it a car is also a blasphemy). Maybe the boys should have used some protecting charms on Baby so she would have been safe.

2. Of course, when I take a liking to a character, they go and kill him. I guess I should have learned by now with Supernatural. Unfortunately, we found out too late that he was also just trying to survive. You know, those grumpy old bears, you cannot help but like them. He was also there to show Sam, and specially Dean, that you should not do whatever you can to win – even if it is against God. Ride on cowboy.

3. Oh boy… When Dean sets his sights on something, he really HAS eyes just for that one thing. To be honest, I had a little trouble with the fact that he did not seem to care about what happened to the cowboy, because they needed to take down God. The poor cowboy's life was not important in the scheme of bigger things but that is not right, now is it? I am glad Sam could show the guy WHY they are doing this. They are doing this for him, and all the people, and it matters how it is done.

4. Something that really hits me to the core (as it should) is if there is violence concerning children. How one of the Gregoris regarded children made my skin crawl. Also, the one posing as a doctor killed people when he should have been helping them… Just icky. I am glad Castiel and Jack took care of them.

5. I can only imagine how a raw, real human heart would taste, but boy, that scene made me queasy. What I have heard from other people is that even a cooked heart is chewy. The chewiness is enough but with the fresh blood… Yeah, I know, I know… Horror series and all that jazz but still.

RANDOM Fact

 SPN coin 15x11

A touch piece is a coin or medal believed to cure disease, bring good luck, influence people's behavior, carry out a specific practical action, etc. What most touch pieces have in common is that they have to be touched or in close physical contact for the 'power' concerned to be obtained and/or transferred. Once this is achieved, the power is assumed to be permanently present in the coin, which effectively becomes an amulet.

In many countries it was believed that coins with holes in them would bring good luck. This belief could link to a similar superstition linked to stones or pebbles which had holes, often called "Adder Stones" and hung around the neck. Carrying a coin bearing the date of one's birth is purportedly "lucky". In Austria any coin found during a rainstorm is especially lucky, because it is said to have dropped from Heaven. European charms often require silver coins to be used, which are engraved with marks such as an "X" or are bent. These actions personalize the coin, making it uniquely special for the owner. The lucky "sixpence" is a well-known example in Great Britain.

There you have it! Now I am dying to read your choices for Top 10. And remember anything goes!
