Was Supernatural’s season 14 finale all an altered reality or a bad dream? If it turns out that Chuck is actually “the monster at the end of this book”, the finale will certainly be a nightmare to me. Turning God into the ultimate adversary makes sense in terms of fulfilling the foreshadowing introduced way back in season 4 in the episode whose name unknowingly warned us of this repugnant revelation (4.18), but it is still a road too far for me. In analyzing “Moriah”, Threads Part One and Part Two uncovered multiple layers of clues that hint at Dabb purposely deceiving fans for dramatic shock (writers lie after all). In this concluding study of the episode’s complexities, our heroes’ conversations and observations about their parts in Chuck’s play deepens the doubt that any of it is real.
The Boys Are Back in Town
(Probably Time To Flee)
The finale episode, beginning in season seven, episode twenty-three is the big bang and the shocking reveal all while lining up a whole new set of problems – much like episode twenty-two. Really, if there is one thing Supernatural knows how to do, it’s a finale episode.
With the show going into its final season, I started to reflect on the past fourteen years and the episodes that are still, to this day, the nearest and dearest to my heart. To me they are my comfort episodes, the ones I go to when I need a laugh or a cry or the comfort of an old friend. I have picked my Top Six Favourites of each season, which I have to admit it was hard (going with only six?!).
Before you read my list, make your own list of season 1 favorites! It will be fun to compare your unbiased choices (before you are unduly influenced by my memories or picks) to mine. If you're joining Nightsky and The WFB in the #SPNSummer2019 Rewatch, viewing the TNT Supernatural Marathon, or rewatching at your own pace this hiatus, the episodes should be fresh in your mind! Save your list then, because you'll need it for a HUGE Hiatus challenge that The WFB will be sharing with you very soon! Nightsky reveals her Top 6 season 1 favorites after mine, so you'll have two WFB staff lists as a comparison (and as a hint of what's to come!)!
So without further ado, here's my list of Season One Favourites! The list is by order of appearance only, as they all are equal in their importance to me.
Welcome to hiatus - a time when we get a break from the show, but in reality, none of us want it. Some fans have been around the show all 307 episodes, and some have only been around for a relative minute.
With #SPN300 having happened, it means that I've been watching Supernatural for almost 100 episodes. I started watching while the end of Season 10 was still airing, and finished the summer after Season 10 aired. Season 11 was the first season I watched live on TV, so I've been watching live or almost live for five-ish years. I thought I would write about my journey over the last 100 episodes of Supernatural, because I want to share my journey with all of you, and to reflect on my journey through this fandom and its ins and outs.
I was happy about the 300th episode. The fans were celebrating and making all sorts of cool stuff while waiting for the episode. We were having fun; the anticipation was real. We got a nice Entertainment Weekly article with photos. I even made a new poster for the occasion (above), plus I decided to do something fun for the fans while we waited. A week before the episode, I tweeted "TOP 3" lists of different aspects of Supernatural every day until the episode. Little did we know that some sad news was waiting for us on the horizon. I guess knowing what we know now makes the 300th all the more special. As fate would have it, on 22 of March we heard the bad news about the show ending in season 15. Suddenly my Top 3 lists were fitting for the entire run of the show, to celebrate what it has given me and others. For many, this last hellatus feels like a trip down memory lane.
We have so much talent in the Supernatural fandom! Fans draw works of art, edit photos, make videos, write fanfics, create costumes or props, craft jewelry, and much more. It’s time to showcase some of the #SPNFamily’s talent and ask the people behind the creations some questions!
Today I'd like you to meet Deb and Kevin, the people behind Dark Feather Enterprises, LLC.
We know each other through DarkHunters (that´s another story), therefore, I was able to watch the development of Dark Feather Enterprises, LLC from the very beginning. This is why I am glad that I was able to do this interview.
