After I made "A Tribute to the Kick-Ass Women of Supernatural" and part 2 , I wanted to write a similar article about men. I value both in Supernatural because the show has some of the most remarkable guest actors and actresses, so the loss of both are deeply felt. I decided to use the same criteria as I had in my first article: I chose the male characters that had a great impact on me and were also Badass on their own accord.
Strength comes in many ways, whether it is father's, brother's or son's love for one another or strength to go against all odds and do the right thing against what ever the cost would be. Their strength could also be to live on when they are struck by great grief or loss and they feel they can't. These men did that and more. Part 1 of my Badass Men tribute looked at Family and Angels. Part 2 covered the Bad Guys and Frenemies. Those categories include many classic Supernatural characters so you'll want to go back and catch up if you haven't already read them! Let's get on with Part 3!

5. Supernatural

Supernatural Creatures ( Metallica Master Of Puppets ) made by Tudor Alex
Chuck Shurley "God" *Rob Benedict

Alright, we may not have seen Chuck smiting anything but Benedict could portray him so well we believed he was able to do so, and really, this list would not be complete if the one that tops anything in power wasn't here. He created mankind and earth, helped the Winchesters on a few occasions and he also had a pretty kickass sister. Of course, opinions vary about his toughness and the person he is but he did make people in his image, and aren't we great?
"Well, there's only one explanation. Obviously I'm a god... I'm definitely a god. A cruel, cruel, capricious god." – 4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book
Known status: Alive and kicking
Seen: 4.18 The Monster at the End of This Book, 4.22 Lucifer Rising, 5.01 Sympathy for the Devil, 5.04 The End, 5.09 The Real Ghostbusters, 5.22 Swan Song, 10.05 Fan Fiction, 11.20 Don't Call Me Shurley, 11.21 All in the Family, 11.22 We Happy Few and 11.23 Alpha and Omega
Benjamin "Benny" Lafitte *Ty Olsson

I always liked Benny. He fought against his thirst when he got back up from Purgatory and he singlehandedly killed many of his kind. Think how hard it would be if we wouldn't be allowed to eat nor drink. That gives you an idea of his strength, plus he chose a way to eat which would not hurt people. He helped Dean survive in Purgatory and also sacrificed himself to get the word for Sam. After that, he decided to stay in Purgatory partly because he felt he belonged there and partly so that people would stay safe.
"I drink blood, not people." – 8.05 Blood Brother
Known status: Deceased times 2
Seen: 8.01 We Need to Talk About Kevin, 8.02 What's Up, Tiger Mommy?, 8.05 Blood Brother, 8.07 A Little Slice of Kevin, 8.09 Citizen Fang, 8.10 Torn and Frayed, 8.19 Taxi Driver and 10.19 The Werther Project (hallucination)
Prometheus, Shane *John Reardon

A very likable "God" from the start. Even his backstory was weird but I was caught on immediately. What was this mysterious creature? He had endured a lot but his family and his son especially meant the most to him. Like many others, he sacrificed himself to save his son and others. I was very sad that he died but rooting for some does that to you, especially in Supernatural.
"Yeah, I guess. But none of that -- none of that means anything unless I can save my son." – 8.16 Remember the Titans
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 8.16 Remember the Titans
War, Horseman of the Apocalypse *Titus Welliver

All of the horsemen could actually be on this list because they are all dangerous, and well, end-of-the-world baddies. To see them means everything will end. War put family members, friends, neighbours and townsfold against one another and thought nothing about it. The more fighting was going on, the happier he seemed. His car was great too. I love how they pictured the Four Horsemen in the series and that their "horses" were their cars.
"Here's a hint. I was in Germany. Then in Germany. Then in the Middle East. I was in Darfur when my beeper went off. I'm waiting to hook up with my siblings. I've got three. We're going to have so much fun together." – 5.02 Good God, Y'All
Known status: Alive and kicking
Seen: 5.02 Good God, Y'All
Gordon Walker *Sterling K. Brown

To be honest, I don't like Gordon Walker BUT I can't ignore him from this list. He was a deadly and dangerous hunter. He didn't seem to care about anyone. He only cared about getting the job done and his revenge. It was funny that people started to pity the monsters that got in his way because he was also bat s**t crazy. There is no doubt he was a badass but his moral code was more twisted than even some of the bad guys on this list. He didn't care if he went after civilians, good guys or bad guys.
"I got to hand it to you, Sam. You got a lot of people fooled. But see, I know the truth. I know what it's like. We're the same now, you and me. I know how it is walking around with something evil inside you. It's just too bad you won't do the right thing and kill yourself. I'm gonna... as soon as I'm done with you. Two last good deeds. Killing you, and killing myself." – 3.07 Fresh Blood
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 2.03 Bloodlust, 2.10 Hunted, 3.03 Bad Day at Black Rock and 3.07 Fresh Blood
6. Humans

Supernatural ● We are the good guys [Humor] made by ♥TheMica993♥
Aaron Bass *Adam Rose

Aaron is one of the characters that we wish would be in more than just one episode. If you think about superheroes, his power would be "Summon the Golem!" Aaron started as a normal college student, mostly having fun and not studying that much, but later he needed to embrace his heritage and use the golem for good to keep it from being snatched to do bad. Aaron needed to take responcibility for the situation and he did. That is one badassery move right there.
"Aaron: I'm sorry. I thought we had a thing back at the quad. You know, a little eye magic? A moment? I saw you here and I figured I'd wait until you were done with your meeting and then we might..." – 8.13 Everybody Hates Hitler
Known status: Alive and kicking
Seen: 8.13 Everybody Hates Hitler
Adam Milligan *Jake Abel

This is also a character that divides the fandom a lot. For me, he is the half brother of the Winchesters and thus he is family but he didn't know his brothers nor father that well. For him, his mother was all he had and he wanted her back. Angels promised to give her back to him and to Adam, angels were the good guys. He didn't know better. He might have felt like a jerk to work against them. I saw a glimpse of the real Adam when he learned the truth and when Sam and Dean came to save him. It was only for a moment but he did choose his brothers. Too bad that neither the audience nor his brothers got to know him well. He did the right thing in the end.
"Adam: No, John Winchester was some guy who took me to a baseball game once a year. I don't have a dad. So we may be blood, but we are not family. My mom is my family. And if I do my job, I get to see her again. So no offense, but she's the one I give a rat's ass about, not you." – 5.18 Point of No Return
Known status: Deceased or by miracle alive and kicking
Seen: 4.19 Jump the Shark, 5.18 Point of No Return and 5.22 Swan Song (as Michael's vessel)
Kevin Tran *Osric Chau

When you are being pulled into the Supernatural world, you usually get screwed. In the end Kevin did too. He was the prophet of the lord plus he survived with his mother against demons, Crowley and Leviathans. He even outsmarted Crowley and the demons more than once. Also, he took his body to extremes while trying to help the Winchesters. Maybe even over the limits.
"I always trust you. And I always end up screwed." – 9.09 Holy Terror
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 7.21 Reading Is Fundamental, 7.22 There Will Be Blood, 7.23 Survival of the Fittest, 8.01 We Need to Talk About Kevin, 8.02 What's Up, Tiger Mommy?, 8.07 A Little Slice of Kevin, 8.10 Torn and Frayed, 8.14 Trial and Error, 8.19 Taxi Driver, 8.21 The Great Escapist, 8.23 Sacrifice, 9.02 Devil May Care, 9.06 Heaven Can't Wait, 9.09 Holy Terror, 9.14 Captives and 11.21 All in the Family
Rufus Turner *Steven Williams

You could call him the "Jack Dalton" kind of friend to Bobby - always getting him into trouble. Rufus seem to have infinite knowledge of all kinds of things, especially information that hunters need. But make no mistake, he was a great and strong hunter. The way he died did not do his character justice. He was also there whenever Bobby needed his help, even in his time of dying. He helped him to pass the test that was needed to get back to his boys.
"Folks like us... there ain't no happy ending... I'm what you've got to look forward to if you survive. But you won't." – 3.15 Time Is on My Side
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 3.15 Time Is on My Side, 5.02 Good God, Y'All, 6.04 Weekend at Bobby's, 6.16 ...And Then There Were None, 7.10 Death's Door and 11.16 Safe House
Ash *Chad Lindberg

I think he called himself Dr. Badass on the show and he truly was that. His computer skills were phenomenal and he was of course there for the boys, on earth and in Heaven. Even in Heaven he gave the Winchesters a helping hand with Pamela. You could say he was relaxed and cool. It is a shame that he burned with the tavern when it burned down.
"Well, hell then. Guess I need my pants." – 2.05 Simon Said
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 2.02 Everybody Loves a Clown, 2.05 Simon Said, 2.10 Hunted, 2.21 All Hell Breaks Loose: Part One and 5.16 Dark Side of the Moon
Honorable mention:
Jacob Styne *Jeff Branson

It is a shame we had him only in one episode. From the Stynes, he seemed the most formidable adversary to the Winchesters. The actor also played a large part in making him memorable. Jacob was intimidating and powerful in the short scenes in which we saw him. I think they did burn his body so he is dead but you'll never know with the Stynes. Maybe we will get this one back.
"Well, there's coincidence, and then there's just providence. See, "The Book of the Damned," it wants to be found. It wants to come home. Let me guess. You want to use it to get that gift off your arm, don't you? Power is wasted on the weak. Now the book....can remove that Mark. But you mess around with that, you're gonna do far more harm than good." – 10.18 Book of the Damned
Known status: Deceased
Seen: 10.18 Book of the Damned
Sully *Nate Torrence

We have had all kinds of badasses on this list - hunters, soldiers, computer geniouses, geniouses, dangerous monsters and much more. So how about we also get one that is kind and peaceful and protects children at all costs, even by offering his life so that they could be spared. Maybe a good way to end this list is with his kindness and with beings that sparkle like unicorns or are beautiful like mermaids or play cool air guitar players or are just an ordinary person. Beings that are there when their families are not or when their parents are not available. Their goodness is their strength and they don't have any ill intent in their bones. Hopefully we will see Sully again.
"Sometimes they're scared, but that just means the thing they're facing, it's super important, and nobody else is gonna go for it because nobody else has got the balls." – 11.08 Just My Imagination
