Okay, first up let me tell you the reason behind writing this. 1) I live in a country where I absolutely, do not ever see any chance of Jensen and Jared coming here for a convention, despite the fact that they have a huge, I should say, gigantic fan following here and 2) Well, what better way to convey your thoughts about these two guys to thousands of other fans worldwide, than via here!
 
For the past seven and a half years, Jared and Jensen have entertained us both on screen and off. With a huge fan base around the globe (and I mean literally all around the globe), Jared and Jensen have captured our hearts not only with their acting skills but also with their beautiful personalities. I don't think any show other than "Supernatural" has ever gained this kind of popularity and status in regions outside the West. The "Supernatural" fandom is everywhere, from Iran to the United Arab Emirates, from Russia to India. We're all bound together through a single thread; our love for Sam and Dean and our love for Jared and Jensen.
 
I became a fan of "Supernatural" not very long ago. It all started in January of this year (2012) and since then there's been no stopping me. In fact, I don't mind being called a "˜Supernatural Addict' by my friends and family. I absolutely love that term!
  
Right from episode one, I fell in love with Sam and Dean. Then slowly, I became a Jared and Jensen fan as well. I launched into a crusade to know anything and everything about the show and the cast. I read every report related to the actors and "Supernatural" that I could get my hands on, every discussion, every con video, anything available online or in print. Unlike other fans, I've never favoured any one character or any one actor. I love them both. For me it's a story about both Sam and Dean and not one over the other. Same goes for Jared and Jensen, my heart beats for both of them, not just the one. I didn't become a "˜Sam girl' or a "˜Dean girl' nor a "˜Jared fan' or a "˜Jensen fan'. I simply identify myself as a "˜J2 Fan' and a "˜Supernatural Fan'.

As I haven't met Jared and Jensen, this write up is based on my understanding and observation of the actors based on my "˜research' and I hope that someday they may read my thoughts so they know what we fans feel for them.
 
There are many reasons why we "fangirls" adore "the boys". Some reasons can be pointed out, while some remain a mystery of the heart. But as a devoted fan of the show and J2, I've tried to identify some of the reasons, which have made me a hard core Jared and Jensen fan.
 
1.    J2 raise the bar: I mean seriously, tell me none us has ever dreamt of a guy who is just like them! Jared and Jensen have raised the bar for all the guys that I would ever go out with! Who doesn't want to know a guy who actually has some of their traits? They're smart, funny, sensitive, sexy, handsome, faithful, and family oriented... OMG don't even get me started on that list. They've raised this girl's expectation and I know it's not fair but come on, how can I not dream about such a guy? Jared and Jensen fit the bill of many girls' dream guy and that's part of what I think makes them so special.

2.    Good Actors + Good Human Beings: Now that is a rare combination, trust me. I'm a complete film and TV addict and I'm hugely interested in the entertainment beat and I know many people would agree with me on this one, that Jensen and Jared are a perfect example of this rare combination.. The film and television industry is one such industry where there is more "show off" and less reality, but these two guys have surpassed the down-to-earth test as well. Apart from being superb actors (nobody in the world can doubt that), they are good people. They work for charities, they respect their wives and families, and they respect their fans. They are not like typical Hollywood stars. They live a low-key life and stay out of the limelight. In short no star-shenanigans for these boys, which makes them all the more desirable.
 
3.    They sweep us off our feet: Ok, I myself have not witnessed this, but until that day, whatever reports I've read confirm this fact! Every single fan that's been lucky enough to meet Jared and Jensen in person has sworn up and down how nice they are. Every con report, every meet and greet report and every personal experience I've ever read has confirmed the fact that they treat their fans warmly and with respect. It's not easy to pose for hundreds of photo ops and still look so cheerful in all of them! Not everybody can do that and not get cranky! They make fans feel special and this is what makes them so special. They talk to you as if you belong to their family; they maintain eye contact, which is a very important part of conversation. They are patient with the fans who are a nervous-wreck and they try and make them feel comfortable. No matter how stupid the question is (and sometimes there are very embarrassing questions), they rarely refuse to answer or show any displeasure. What more could a fan ask? They openly appreciate the things we do for them, the love and care we show them and graciously accept the gifts we give them. This in turn makes us respect them more. Hell, my world goes dizzy just watching them in conventions on my computer screen! I don't know how those fans that see them in person hold it together. I personally think of myself as a chatterbox who can go on and on and on, but boy, if I ever come across Jared and Jensen, I don't think I would be able to say a single word.
 
4.    Always in the good books: I think many attention-seeking stars could learn a lesson or two from Jensen and Jared. How do two guys who are rich and famous and part of Hollywood, stay away from the tabloids and gossip magazines? They've both been in this industry for many years and yet they've successfully managed to stay away from any bad publicity. No drug related cases, no sex tapes, no bad mouthing other actors, no public fights or outrages. They don't throw their stardom weight around. They do the work and they live their lives as much like a normal human being as they can. They don't partake in the typical Hollywood attitude, which supposedly helps an actor to become a big star. What is more surprising here is that Jared and Jensen are big stars and yet they are minus all these things. They made it big owing to their hard work and not by grabbing the sensational headlines for some stupid reason. It's their work that speaks for them and this speaks volumes about who they are personally. In my opinion, I think this has a lot to do with the way they were raised. Jared and Jensen, both come from close-knit families and were raised with strong family values and traditions. They are close to their parents and their siblings. Their families come first, which in this 21st century is quite surprising. So, here is a big THANK YOU for Mr. And Mrs. Ackles and Mr. and Mrs. Padalecki for giving the world a beautiful gift in the form of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki! As a side note though, I absolutely don't mind photos of Jared "˜frolicking' in the Brazilian waters and Jensen riding mini-bikes"¦.

5.    Their legen-wait for it-dary Friendship: In this world of cut-throat competition, it's not easy to find true friends, especially in the same profession, but this doesn't hold true for our boys. Jared and Jensen are not only brothers on screen but they are brothers off screen as well. Working together for past seven years, their friendship has only grown stronger and I believe that is one of the biggest contributing factors to their large fandom. Jared and Jensen could have easily fallen prey to egos. They both star in a highly successful TV show, they both have meaty roles, they're both playing the lead characters, which could have been a set up for a cast having a huge tussle between who is the star and who is not. But that's not Jared and Jensen. They easily break the myth that two actors can't be good friends. Of course, there are other actors who are good friends in real life, but the question is how many of them have worked together for seven whole years and still have the same connection. I can't think of any examples other than Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox. Jared and Jensen don't compete with each other, instead they look out for each other. They have been through thick and thin together and as Jensen has said many times, they've watched each other backs since episode one. This is what sets them apart. Some people seem to think that their friendship is fake and that they secretly hate each other or something, well to those people I would just say one thing"¦. "Screw you!" Seriously, how can somebody fake friendship for seven long years? I mean, have those people not seen these guys together? To illustrate this point, I'll just use a couple of quotes from Jared and Jensen, which they said during DallasCon 2012 and nicely sum up their friendship.
 
"For Jensen to win, I win. If I win, he wins.""“ Jared talking about the easiness of their relationship.
 
"It's nice to know somebody always has your back."-Jensen on his relationship with Jared.
