Here it is, an annual WFB tradition that I never really quite got to this summer.  Nine seasons of "Supernatural", and there is still plenty of mystery regarding that delightful mop on Sam Winchester's head.

The greatest mystery is that through all these seasons I can't remember Sam with a brush in his hand combing his gorgeous mane. Did it ever happen?

Yay! This is always one of my favorite articles on this site. I was just thinking to myself that I somehow missed it over hellatus and I find it today. My submission for season 9 hair - the incredible wisp of hair with a mind of its own. It is blown across his forehead one minute, and the next is tucked back in place. It happened in "I''m No Angel" when Sam is knocked unconscious and Gadreel gets up to heal Cas; in "Dog Dean Afternoon" when Chef Leo attacks Sam; and in "Road Trip" when Sam is expelling Gadreel and Crowley. And I guess it kind of goes with Sam's hospital hair.
