Oh come on, sympathize. We've all been there. No matter what we try, those damned bangs won't keep out of our face. Humans infected with demon blood and trying to save the world aren't excluded either.
Wow, maybe Sam's hair in season five did end up after all suffering the same cruel fate as its holder. So what will season six bring us? Whatever happens, the hair with a mind of its own will likely keep surprising us.

Sam does have some locks on him and you're correct, he does make for a pretty corpse (sorry, Sam)
There is a thread running on another fansite and it is all about whether Sam will get a hair cut or not, pretty funny. I commented that I hope he gets a cut, not as short as Dean's but just a bit more manageable and perhaps it will help place him in the 'leadership' role more. Don't shoot me or ban me from the site for suggesting such a thing as a trim but there some moments there when I thought...shees h dude, get a trim -- I think you manged to capture them all!
Love the addition of Sam/KITT in the new category of Sam in his alternate forms.

I love his hair all the time, but personally I like it best the way it looked in the beginning of the season. Just the right length, not too long, not too short, adorably curling at the back of his head. It looks particularly fine in Free To Be You and Me and The End (as Lucifer). *Sigh*
I repeat here what I already said before. There are 3 things I hope I'll never see in Supernatural:
1) Sam with short hair
2) Dean not calling Sam "Sammy" anymore
3) A love triangle
Any of these would be the end of the world, this time for real.
I will second (or third, or fourth) the long live the "Sammy"! My younger brother is a good 8 inches taller than me & a father twice over, but it is almost impossible to say his name without placing that "y" at the end of it, as he was known when we were kids.
PS. I know it's all wrong but such a pretty corpse ... Mmmm ...
I have to say my favarites Sam's hair moments are the one that comes with the bitchface and the "This crazy bitch is bothering me". He just looks totally HOT and AWESOME in those moments. But I personally love Sammy's hair all the time, it just fits perfectly with him.
And, yeah, I totally love the "Sammy". It's so sweet. And I love the fact that Sam only allows Dean to call him like that and that proves how much they love each other. I think it's awesome when Dean calls Sam like that because you can feel that when he does that he has such a lot of love on his voice. It's a really nice detail because it's a sign of the TOTALLY close relashionship they share and at the end, that is the only thing this show has always been about ( As Sera Gamble said once:The Epic Love Story of Sam and Dean)

I have to admit I loved Sam’s hair this season and hope he keeps it at this length through out season 6 (guess it’s the hippie in me).

Yeah, and Dean's "Sammy" is one thing i love like crazy too.
I have to add my two cents to the other comments about Dean calling Sam, "Sammy". Love it when he does it. Agree with Holmes where said there is a lot of love when Dean says it. I especially pay attention when Dean calls him that, because the moments he does its a situation of concern and care. It's his love pet name. But remember in the beginning, Sam didn't want Dean calling him Sammy. He said Sammy was a 12-year-kid with pudgy cheeks. But then by Bloodlust Sam was saying only Dean was allowed to call him that - so I guess it grew on Sam as well. I also hate it when others call him Sammy, like Gordon did or Ruby. It just grates on my nerves. It's a name for Dean and Dean alone.
And 'Free To Be, You And Me' hair all the time yes please! In that episode that was the best it ever looked. No matter what others say sam outgrew the bangs long ago.
The bangs were cute but the longer hair makes him more manly.
I also think the best part of the article were your category titles. "I'm distressed and so is my hair" was a particular favorite.
