As I was looking for a way to pass the quarantine doldrums, I saw Entertainment Weekly’s list of what it considered to be the 75 most ‘essential’ episodes of Supernatural, leading up to Season 15. Since any excuse for a rewatch is a good excuse, I figured I’d not only invite my Supernatural "Team Free Will North Carolina" (TFWNC) Facebook group to join me, but I’d also recap my thoughts on which episodes Entertainment Weekly (EW) chose, which ones they skipped, and what was left out.  Music plays such a big role in Supernatural, so I also noted which iconic songs were included and which were missed in the skipped episodes. Reporting on all that turned into quite the project, and The WFB was kind enough to let me share it here! (My snarky opinions are my own and don’t reflect those of The WFB.)

So come on the journey with me! Start with season 1, then follow the links until you catch up with us in season 13!

I think it's no secret, your WFB editor-in-chief has a few strong opinions when it comes to Supernatural.  That's why every season I give my "Editor's Choice" awards, looking at the finer points of the season gone by, offering either a scathing commentary or a fit of fangirlish glee for categories that have no real significance whatsoever.   Okay, maybe there are a couple of important things in there.  After all, Sam's hair is important, right?

Anyway, without further delay, here are my choices for season 13, in no particular order.
It's time for the big reveal! The votes have been counted, the data analyzed, and we can now announce the winners of our Supernatural Season 13 Fan Choice Awards! As usual we had some runaway categories and some really close ones as well. There are a few surprising winners here too. An episode that pretty much swept the nominations ended up falling short in our vote for several categores, thus shattering our predictions.  Another big nominee did very well, just not in the categories that were particularly flattering.  It just goes to show, you never know what's going to happen when the votes are counted!

Below for each category I list a winner, the runner up, the second runner up if the voting is particularly close, and then the Editor's Choice, aka my vote. After all, what fun is it being editor-in-chief and awards administrtor if I don't get my say? :)  The results of the poll can be viewed as well, just so you can see how well and how poorly your choices fared.

So, with all the formalities out of the way, I now present, the WFB Supernatural Season 13 Fan Choice Awards.
Yes, it's finally here!  That favorite time of year, where the masses can make their voices heard about the "Supernatural" season gone by.  It is time to vote in the Winchester Family Business Supernatural Season 13 Fan Choice Awards!

Thanks to all that submitted their nominations.  I was able to get together a lot of great selections in most categories.  A few were lacking though, so you will see some very creative options there to fill those gaps!

Another Supernatural season has come and gone and you know what that means.  It's time for our annual awards!  Season 13 especially generated some mixed feelings.  You either loved it, hated it, or were rather indifferent. Huh, come to think of it, that sounds like every season, doesn't it?

Ever since season seven a certain number of award categories have been set aside by me and offered to you, the SPN fans, for judgement.  It gives the fandom that chance to be heard - the good, bad, and the indifferent – because we care.  Before I can come up with a final vote though, we need nominations!

I have pre-selected 17 award categories where the Supernatural fans will eventually select the winner.  Just list your nominations for each category in the comments.  Nominations close at 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday June 13th.  The most popular nominations in each category will be chosen and used for the final fan vote (five to seven per category).

It's that time of year, the time where we look back at all "Supernatural" has offered us over the last season and think, "I should rank all the episodes for fun!"  You aren't thinking that?  Well, you should!
