Sweetondean is Chief Editor – Asia Pacific Bureau for the Winchester Family Business.
The first thing you should know about sweetondean is she lives in Australia, in Sydney, by the beach, in an apartment she shares with her scruffy 13 year old
Jack Russell.
sweetondean discovered Supernatural right back in season 1. In fact she saw a promo for this new show that looked kind of creepy and thought, “Hey that’s that hottie from Dark Angel, I’m so watching that!” Of course she also discovered that hottie from The Gilmore Girls was in it too, but what she REALLY discovered was a show that captured her heart and soul from the very first moment and as the years went by, seemed to alter her life in ways she never thought a TV show could. She’s often tried to figure out why…is it the brothers and their bond, is it the living on the road with the wind in your hair, or you know, something less cliche, is it living by your own set of rules, is it the classic rock, the hot car, the hotter guys, the fans, the friends? Well, it’s all of that and more and I’m sure at some point she’ll write about it!
In her life outside of Supernatural, sweetondean heads up the Creative Team of a Network TV Channel. This means, she’s a promo producer who gets to boss other promo producers around. No her channel doesn’t screen Supernatural, but that doesn’t stop her talking about it a lot. There are a quite a few people she works with, who now have an intricate knowledge of the show’s mythology and an understanding of destiny vs free will in relation to two certain brothers. Of course, she tries to assimilate as many people as possible into the fandom, her success rate is remarkably high!
Even though she lives in a country far, far away, sweetondean attends conventions a couple of times a year where she catches up with her fellow fans that she’s met through mutual adoration of the show. That’s one of the things she loves the most, the friendships she’s made on this crazy, wild ride called Supernatural.
sweetondean has an extensive collection of Mr Potato Heads and yes, she even has customised Sam and Dean Spudchesters that she had signed by the boys. She is also the proud owner of over 300 snowglobes.

I love your articles, all of them are in depth and well written and humorous at all the right moments. Plus I can relate and agree to them more than the others. Hope I don’t seem like a stalker, popping up all over the place. :sigh: haha
Thanks very much!!! Even for the stalking! 😆
Hi sweetondean – Amy is it? –
I just wanted to say a personal thanks for the “let’s discuss the pretty” thread. It is so nice to be able to look at lovely pics of our lovely guys without risking even remotely dodgy Internet searches that somehow seem to have somewhat yukky female results.
Just saying how lovely your little shallow pool is, and much appreciated.
Cheers,
Sue x

My absolute pleasure…believe me! 😉
sweetondean: If anyone might know the answer to this ridiculously trivial Jensen Ackles question, I guess that it would be you!
In the Season One episode “Home”, I noticed that Jensen signifies the number three by holding up his pinkie, ring finger and middle finger and pinching his thumb with his index finger. I find that to be an unusual gesture for an American actor. If you have ever seen the movie
“Inglourious Basterds”, you understand that gesture is most often used by people in Eastern Europe. So I can’t help but wonder how Jensen Ackles came to embrace that gesture?
Any ideas?
Thank you!
Sue
I think I might be able to answer that. Jensen played baseball. The umpire signals “3 balls” with that gesture.
