Updated with Video: Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins Will Be in Season Five of The Boys

Kripke you magnificent bastard.  Here’s a fun announcement that came out today.  Both Jared and Misha will be on season five of The Boys, joining Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.  

Season five of The Boys was announced as the last, so there was a sense of urgency to find a role for Jared, especially since Jensen will be returning as Soldier Boy.  Misha though was a big surprise, and Eric Kripke is really catching those Supernatural Pokemon now!  

So what roles will they be playing?  We don’t know! According to this report on Variety, it’s all being kept under wraps.  Season five is currently filming and not anticipated to air until sometime in 2026.  Jensen in the meantime is slated to star in spinoff Vought Rising, a prequel to the current show.  Dates for when that will start filming or will air haven’t been announced yet.  

So, exciting news for sure, but it comes with a long wait!  Hopefully they will at least get recurring roles.  I’d love to see them all ride out together in the sunset.
