Caption This #400 Mega Spooktacular Extravaganza Winners!
Wow.
I can hardly believe we’ve been doing this four hundred times now. When I suggested to Alice we do this back during season 10 I had no plans or expectations for our little game. But it became a hit and through good times and bad, a delightful little cadre of folks have joined us for silliness and fun. I wouldn’t keep doing this if I didn’t just love how much fun you all make it. Sometimes we even get entirely new episodes written when some captioneers start bouncing off each other.
So from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
Now it was only fair that with the big 4-0-0 we did a massive “outside SPN” contest. Movies with Jared and Jensen, as well as several photoshoots and behind-the-scene moments. It wasn’t easy to pick out the winners on some of these, and that made it a lot of fun.
First up, we had this shot from the movie Devour, and Marion kicked things off with her first win.
But Jensen wasn’t the only star of the silver screen. Jared also had his day in the limelight from House of Wax, and for this cheryl42 earned her first win.
In the category of horror remakes, Jensen starred in My Bloody Valentine. This scene inspired Marion to grab her second win.
Jared also joined the remake game by starring in Friday the 13th. Paladinteacher was inspired for her first win by expressing the sentiment of a lot of fangirls.
Now moving to behind-the-scenes wardrobe mixups, Marion pulled off her third victory with the guys exchanging costumes.
While cheryl42 got her second win with… Ok I have no idea what’s happening here.
Moving on to the photoshoots by Entertainment Magazine, AlyCat22 jumped in the fray and earned her first win.
Then AlyCat22 went and made it a double victory.
But PollyAnna wasn’t going to let her have all the fun, and snatched a win on this picture.
Then Paladinteacher got her second win on the final photoshoot.
But we still had 2 extra credit captions to go! In the tribute to Superman, AlyCat22 nabbed her third win.
While cheryl42 got her third win captioning this glorious internet meme.
Whew! That was a ton of work – but a ton of fun. Again, thank you all – and here’s to another 400!
(Note from Alice – Thanks Nate! This was a ton of work. I’m so happy you were willing to play along with this completely bonkers idea. We’ll take it easier on people next time!)
