Caption This! #424
Happy June everyone! As you probably noticed, we ran the last contest, #423, for two weeks. If there’s one thing I’ve noticed in the years of running this site, it’s that practically no one pays attention to what we do on Memorial Day weekend. Running a new contest didn’t seem practical. I’ve also been insanely busy moving both of my young adults into new places, so taking that extra week was much needed! Thanks for your understanding.
So, in deciding this week’s winner, I looked at all the entries and didn’t see a clear winner in any of them. You all did well, but there just wasn’t a strong stand out that screamed, “There’s my winner!” However, one did get my attention, and that’s because the line used came from “A Most Holy Man,” an episode I just rewatched yesterday for my “Reviews That I Missed” series. When I heard that line, I died laughing! I totally forgot about that one. So, in a fit of great timing, congrats Marion!
Now, for this week’s contest, since I short changed you all by stretching the last one two weeks, I’m giving you two captions this week! It’s probably because I also rewatched “Good Intentions” yesterday and found there were two great screen caps that were contest worthy. Since I couldn’t decide between the two, you get both!
This first one in episode 13.14 already had a really funny line, but I figured let’s see if anyone else here can do better. Or different. Can you top this epic Meredith Glynn line?
Sam: Don’t you think you should, uh, take it a little easy on the nitrates?
Dean: Dude, if bacon’s what kills me, then I win.
The next one is easier, and falls in the whole Sam Winchester taking too many blows to the head thing. What could Sam be thinking here? Or maybe not thinking since his bell is ringing a bit?
