Comic Con 2017

  • New Supernatural Collectibles!

One of the unique attractions of San Diego Comic-Con is wandering the vendor floor looking at the amazing pop culture collectibles. Since Supernatural  is a long-standing, popular genre show, almost every booth offers clothing, companion books, key chains or other Supernatural themed trinkets. Hoping to find something a bit different, though, I braved "the floor's" massive crowds in search of Supernatural treasure.

  • Living in the Moment: Experiencing the Spectacular Supernatural #SDCC17 Panel

This was my first year covering San Diego Comic-Con solo. It was only the second time I had ever been to #SDCC (a hashtag my hands have become accustomed to typing just as much as they type #Supernatural). Alice had a schedule conflict this year so I was left to navigate tickets and passes, emails and contacts, technology and geography on my own. To say I was nervous all the time wouldn’t come close to describing my perpetual state of mind for the weeks preceding and the entire week of Comic-Con.

This year was also the first time I would have the opportunity to attend a Supernatural Comic-Con panel. I’ve read about them, watched them on YouTube and written news items covering them for several years but I've never seen one in person. Last year I came close to attending one but instead was tortured by having to stand outside as long-time friends and fans I had just met filed inside Hall H (being on a press room schedule doesn’t allow one to stand in line for hours to secure a place at the coveted panel). This year, though, was different.

  • Interview With Jensen Ackles - Comic Con 2017

An interview with Jensen is always a pleasure!  The interview started out casually - talk about San Diego, what the number 13 means to him, and then about how he feels when he hears stories about how his work on "Supernatural" has impacted people's lives.  Then the season 13 talk started happening.  A lot of what he said is speculation and teasers, and he doesn't have a lot of answers, but we'll go with the Spoiler Alert anyway.  There's enough here to start the speculating.
  • Interview with Misha Collins - Comic Con 2017

It's Misha's turn!  In our roundtable interview in the San Diego Comic Con press room today, he gives some interesting hints about Castiel's fate.  We'll give the "Spoiler Alert" here but honestly, it's more teasers that will likely fuel wild speculation.  The only thing he will confirm is that in the beginning of the season, Castiel is dead.
  • Interview with Jared Padalecki - Comic Con 2017

Today was a pretty awesome day!  Here's the WFB roundtable interview with Jared Padalecki.  He shares some teasers about the upcoming Supernatural season 13 including Sam's relationship with Jack and how he feels about Mary's disappearance.  I'll give the warning right now, SPOILER ALERT!!
