In all the excitement of the People's Choice Awards...we can't forget the show is back next week!

The official description for episode 8.12 was released today...sounds very, very interesting!

SAM AND DEAN MEET THEIR GRANDFATHER — Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are stunned when a man who claims to be Henry Winchester (guest star Gil McKinney), their grandfather, suddenly appears in their hotel room demanding to know where he can find John Winchester. Henry has time-traveled to stop a demon named Abbadon (guest star Alaina Huffman) and was looking for John’s help. Through Henry, Sam and Dean learn more about their father and the Winchester blood line. Serge Ladouceur directed the episode written by Adam Glass (#812).

Well, well, well! Me thinks Grandpappy Winchester may have some 'splaining to do!

What are you thoughts?

Oh my, oh....the mind boggles! Don't tell me we're actually going to see Sam in a funny get up too, not just Dean? I wonder if Charlie is going to help with the outfits!

This is via TV|Line:

Question: The winter break is killing me. I need some Supernatural info to save my life. —DJ

Ausiello: Here’s some mouth-to-mouth rescoopatation! We already know that a murder investigation brings Dean and Sam into the wild and wacky world of live-action role playing — specifically a LARPing convention. Now I’m happy to announce that yes, the Brothers Winchester will play dress-up.

So, what do you think the boys should dress up as?! Let us know in the comments!

Spoilers are starting to trickle again as Supernatural inches toward it's January return.  Here's a couple of interesting little teasers that have surfaced:

- From TV Line, here's their little blurb on what to expect when Supernatural returns from it's midseason break.

COMING UP NEXT  -  As if the trust issues between the Winchesters, the return of Cas' mysterious heavenly arc and Amelia's presence weren't enough, Dean and Sam will also deal with daddy complications when their paternal grandpa, Henry, time-travels to the present in a family mythology episode. “When you meet your father's father, that brings up some of your father issues. In other words, what did your father's father have to do with the way your father turned out?” previews executive producer Jeremy Carver. "A lot of that is explored head-on.” But it's not all doom and gloom. Felicia Day's Charlie Bradbury returns in what is sure to be a geektastic hour about live-action role playing.

This has been out a couple of weeks, but I only just saw it today.  EW has an interesting tease about an upcoming Ben Edlund episode.  I'm not sure if this is the time travel episode or not, but it sounds like classic Edlund.

Episode 11 — in which Dean and Sam get thrown into the world of LARPing — is going to be one to remember, but I’m most looking forward to the next episode from writer Ben Edlund, which I’m told is a “twisted” installment. “There will be an episode dealing with Nazi necromancers,” says executive producer Jeremy Carver. “It was written by Ben Endlund, so you know that’s going to be fun.”

Here's the link and other info on some other episodes.  http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/12/17/ncis-how-i-met-your-mother-dallas-white-collar-find-out-whats-next-in-the-spoiler-room/2/

- A working title for episode 8.17 has been leaked. It's called "Goodbye Stranger." For anyone that know their classic rock, that's a pretty cool Supertramp song from the late 70's.  The working title for episode 8.14 is "Black Dog," which many of you know if an infamous Led Zeppelin tune.  No, we're not bitter at all that Kripke finally got his wish (and budget) to play Led Zeppelin, for Revolution.        The title for 8.12 keeps changing, so I'm thinking that their former titles of "Out of Time" and "As Time Goes By," both Rolling Stones songs, didn't clear standards and practices.

That's all for now, but I'm sure plenty more will be coming through in the next few weeks.

A couple of high profile spoilers came out today, so let's see what they are!

First from the Huffington Post, they have the exclusive on the time travel episode, episode 12, titled "As Time Goes By."  In that episode, a man is transported into present day.  Turns out that man is Henry Winchester, the paternal grandfather of Sam and Dean (and John's father).  The role will be played by Gil McKinney, who is better known for his roles on ER and Friday Night Lights.

The entire article can be found here:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/30/supernatural-gil-mckinney-season-8_n_2220732.html#slide=1785654

The other spoiler comes from EOnline, in the chat with Kristin.  This isn't a very specific spoiler, but it involves Sam and his meeting with the previously dead Don.  Remember, they're guessing about whether or not this is real.

Dina: Hearing a theory floating around that Sam's girlfriend Amelia isn't real on Supernatural. Got any scoop on that?

Our source close to the show tells us that a love triangle of sorts is coming up between Sam, Amelia and her not so dead ex-husband, so we're assuming she's pretty darn real. (Sorry, we guess?)

It's mid-season finale time.... Gee that seemed to come around real quick.

Here's the promo and preview clip for next week's episode and the last episode for the year, 8.09 "Citizen Fang".

What do you think? I think it might be painful...but it looks goooood.

Episode 8.09, titled "Citizen Fang," is the last episode of 2012 for Supernatural.  After this one airs, the show goes on it's mid-winter break for a month or so.  The official synposis and promo photos were released by The CW.  This one looks like it's going to be pretty tense!

SAM PUTS A TRACKER ON BENNY — Sam (Jared Padalecki) asks a hunter named Martin (guest star Jon Gries) to keep an eye on Benny (guest star Ty Olsson) without telling Dean (Jensen Ackles). However, when Martin tells Sam there was a vampire kill and he thinks Benny is responsible, Dean defends his friend. When Martin decides to take things into his own hands, things get messy and Dean is forced to make a very hard decision. Nick Copus directed the episode written by Daniel Loflin.

First Andrew Dabb gets a solo episode, and now Daniel Loflin.  Interesting.  Here are the 17 glorious photos that look very nice, but tell us nothing!

Here's the official synposis from the CW for episode 8.08, "Hunteri Heroici" which will air on November 28.

CARTOONS AREN’T ALWAYS FUNNY — Castiel (Misha Collins) tells Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) that he’s decided to become a hunter like them.  Sam and Dean aren’t sold on the idea but agree to investigate a case Cas found where a man’s heart literally burst through his chest.  The guys discover there has been more than one odd murder in the small town and all of them resemble cartoon deaths.  Paul Edwards directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb.

Andrew Dabb without Daniel Loflin! This will be interesting.
