(Castiel is watching TV, Sam and Dean are doing research at a table nearby.)
Castiel: It’s very complex.
Dean: Mm-hmm.
Castiel: If the pizza man truly loves this babysitter, why does he keep slapping her rear? Perhaps she’s done something wrong.
Dean: You’re watching porn? Why?
Castiel: It was there.
Dean: You don’t watch porn in a room full of dudes. And you don’t talk about it. Just turn it off.
[Dean turns to Sam when Cas looks down at his lap].  Well, now he’s got a boner.
(There’s a knock on the door. Dean goes to open it. Samuel is there.)
Samuel: This what you boys do, sit around watching pornos with angels?
Castiel: We’re not supposed to talk about it.

(Later, Meg kisses Castiel and he pushes her against the wall and kisses her back).

Castiel:  I learned that from the pizza man.

Here are the latest preview clips for the episode titled “Abandon All Hope…”  It will air on Thurs., 11/19 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

SAM & DEAN FACE OFF AGAINST LUCIFER – Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) track down the Colt and head off to find Lucifer (guest star Mark Pellegrino) to send him back to Hell.  It’s a hunter’s reunion when the crew joins forces with Bobby (guest star Jim Beaver), Ellen (guest star Samantha Ferris) and Jo (guest star Alona Tal) for what could be their last night on Earth.  Also guest starring Mark Sheppard as ‘Crowley’ and Rachel Miner as ‘Meg.’  “Abandon All Hope…” was written by Ben Edlund and directed by Phil Sgriccia.

Nice touch with the jingoistic sign. But Lucifer is a furriner. 8-)

Me liking that Cas and Ellen and Jo have at least a moment or two together, color me fangirl but I like that Castiel who is so important to Dean's and Sam's stories has some interaction with Ellen and Jo, so critical to their past stories.

From the beginning of s5, I really liked the idea of the colt being a weapon against Lucifer....but once I saw the previews of this week’s epi, I knew it wasn’t going to be. If it was, they really wouldn’t be having the boys find it so easily.

Its good Kripke is returning to earlier seasons, and I found it very likable that Ellen called Cas, ‘Cas’, and very significant they he is riding with them and not the boys. Dean still is playing the leader with Sam as his second. Didn’t see Bobby in that group though, and that was disappointing.

Yes, I guess they decided to do a cliff hanger …… to bad. It would have been nice to see a HOPE FILLED ending for the 2 mo hiatus, however, with a title of Abandon All Hope….I think not……

Aren't they always doing this to us, Sablegreen - giving us cliffhangers that will keep us hungry for the upcoming episodes? As if that was necessary... We'll be biting our nails over Christmas and into the New Year. Gosh, I love to hate Kripke... not really, of course, in case any production agent spies on this site... Or, maybe I do...

I would have loved to see some more hope, also, agree with you. I doubt though that the brilliant glorious basterds will provide us with it. Or - at least not in an obvious way. We'll just read between the lines, then.

My best, Jas 8-)

No way the Colt works on *that* guy, but they don't know that. I guess we don't either, ha ha. Hope? In the middle of a season? C'mon, we can't have that. 8-)
