Dean:  Man...hope I die before I get old. Whole thing seems brutal, don't it?
Sam:  You think we will?
Dean:  What?
Sam:  Die before we get old.
Dean:  Haven't we both already?
Sam:  You know what I mean, Dean. I mean, do you think we'll still be chasing demons when we're 60?
Dean: No, I think we'll be dead...for good. What? You want to end up like -- Like travis? Huh?Or Gordon, maybe?
Sam: There's Bobby.
Dean:  Oh, yeah, there's a poster child for growing old gracefully.
Sam:  Maybe we'll be different, Dean.
Dean:  What kind of Kool-Aid you drinking, man? Sammy, it ends bloody or sad. That's just the life.
Sam:  What if we could win?
Dean:  Win?
Sam:  If there was a way we could just...put an end to all of it.
Dean:  Is there something going on you're not telling me?
Sam:  No.
Dean: Sammy.
Sam:  No. Look, I'm just saying...I just wish there was a way we could...go after the source. That's all. Cut the head off the snake.
Dean:  Well, the problem with the snake is that it has a thousand heads. Evil bitches just keep piling out of the Volkswagen.
Sam:  Yeah. Guess you're right.

Updated 10/4 - go to the bottom for a new link

I do so love Friday evenings.  That's usually when I usually find my weekly gift from Warner Brothers.  This week, two clips from next Thursday's episode, "Fallen Idol".   Below is the description:

Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) decide to start hunting together again and their first case leads them to a small town whose inhabitants are being killed by famous dead icons like Abraham Lincoln and James Dean’s car.  However, after two teenage girls come forward and claim their friend was kidnapped by PARIS HILTON (in a cameo role as herself), the brothers aren’t sure what they are hunting anymore. “Fallen Idols” was written by Julie Siege and directed by Jim Conway.

10/4 - elle sent me a link to a fantastic fan made promo addressing the whole Paris Hilton on the show thing.  It's fantastic!

Seriously, Dude ... Where are your axel jacks? Or has Cas's angel mojo rubbed off to the extent that you can change shape at will ... Those things have about 8" ground clearance ( OK ... I'll get my coat ... )

Looks like old habits die hard with our favourite hot brothers. Dean is back to ordering Sam around, and Sam is back to questioning authority. It's like season one but with season 4 garbage. I missed this very much.

Absolutely. I'm overjoyed at our boys being back together. I heard some people complain that the separation was too short to be really effective but I don't care. It was long enough to me.
I know many of us were hoping for hugs and tears but I understand it had to be like this for the time being. There will be time for a more intense display of feelings once they have their issues resolved. But it's a beginning. Anyway, even though they didn't even shake hands, the body language, facial expressions and even the silences between them did the job of conveying their emotions at the reunion.

I can't believe anyone thinks the separation was too short. The boys haven't been the old brothers since season 3. All of season four was a 'separation'. I really hope they drop the s4 issues soon. I want to see the boys kick some butts now.

Loved the clips! Yes, it's looks like the brothers of the earlier seasons. LOVE IT! Hope they have shared all their info now...no more secrets. Best to start with a clean slate.

In Sam's defense, I think he is just in a hurry to put his fears to rest about Lucifer. What Lucifer said really shook him up....more than in any other season that I can remember.

Rusty!!! Our boys!!! NO WAY! :D

Question: At the end of each of these clips is a promo for Supernatural. Does anyone know when it was taken? I don't recall seeing it in previous seasons, but it looks like a younger Sam and Dean. Also Dean is wearing his amulet, so I'm thinking it was from a different season.

Nice. Did anyone notice how great Sam's hair is looking?

Ever since I read Alice's article, I can't get over noticing Sam's hair.

Tomorrow can't get here fast enough.
