-----------------------------------------------------------

Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life – pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell.  The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems. For all the latest Supernatural info and article links, follow The Winchester Family Business on Twitter at @WinFamBusiness

Well this answers the million-dollar question: Sam is only Sam, our old dear Sammy. Be welcome back to us. :D

I'm not thrilled about the "their relationship is not what it used ot be" part. Does it mean that they'll be stranged again? Oh my, I hope not!

Wow!! Season 6 sounds awesome already :D

I'm just glad that Season 6 is going to happen! Also,I'm not going to read too much into " their relationship isn't what it used to be" part of the synopsis because it could mean many things.I can't wait to find out more :-)

Ah! The part I didn't like was the "neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn't what it used to be"
as that was what I was hoping it WOULD be like it used to be in seasons 1 and 2 and even 3.

Whatever it is, I'll be watching. I hope it isn't too far into the future and making them that much older.

I really miss Dean the way he was in the first 3 seasons. We got a he** of a lot more smiles back then from the both of them.

I've been freaking out all morning. Needless to say, concentration at work is at an all time low. I guess we have an answer now to the Sam look at the end of "Swan Song." Looks like our poor boy did some hard time in Hell and now has to drag Dean back into more crap.

It's all a ruse, as after Sam finds Dean, they're going to pass on the hunting thing and open up a dinner theatre joint.

Wow--this sounds very cool!!! For my part, I love the "neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be" bit--hopefully this means new tensions and territory to explore. I don't think we're out of the woods as far as worries about Sam are concerned. I was looking forward to S6 before but now I'm really excited! Except about waiting til September, that just sounds excruciating :P

Does anyone agree that it sounds a bit like Season 1? One brother done with hunting, the other dragging him back.

Yes, it does--I like the idea of the role reversal, and they've certainly been building up to it... I was also thinking it reminds me a little of S3 with the whole "there's a bunch of chaos and darkness and anarchic crap loose in the world now" deal, but I'm definitely very excited to see how it's developed

Tell Green Day to change their lyrics, you won't want to miss September! And Suze--YES!!! Crowley! Crowley! Crowley!

I just hope that Sam will still be Sam, not a demon or another thing, please God or Chuck? :|

Would like to see Crowley again. Sounds like a lot more angel and demon shows. Dean retired from hunting? That's different. Interesting Sam is now all gunho to hunt and Dean isn't. Definitely a role reversal there. The boys just can't seem to get on the same page! 8-)

Hope it turms out to be as good as it sounds!

So Sam escaped, he was not released by God or whoever. But how did he do it? I believe it's really Sam out there, but the flickering light intrigues me. I'm thinking here that maybe Sam was somehow affected by the demon blood. Maybe now he's some kind of Dr. Jekyl/Mr Hyde or the Incredible Hulk. My guess is that he'll try to stay away from Dean as much as possible until there's no choice.

Hope your theory is right Alice. I really don't want a Jekyll/Hyde Sammy. :o

I just really get nervous when I love something and am told that "things will never be the same again" when those are the very things that made me love it in the first place.

I miss the teasing and dithering and the snark and the "bitch" "jerk" exchanges in which the love is obvious. Was sad when the differences became rather unloving and vicious. If the unloving and vicious are what will never be the same again then I am all for it.

I hope that Lisa and Ben are not hurt by any of this, either physically or mentally. Don't punish her good deeds please. I really like Lisa. If Dean can't have Carmen (imaginary) or Jo (dead) Lisa is a great choice.
And I don't care what Kripke says, I say Ben is Dean's kid. ;-)

I'm with AndreaW--key word was "escape" from hell. THAT does raise a few questions! As for the boys relationship, I wouldn't expect it to be the same and it hasn't been for the past 2 years. Dean has admitted to needing to "grow up" and allow Sam to be his own person. They will BOTH need to figure out how to relate to each other as adults. But just because ALL things won't be the same doesn't mean some things won't. I'm still hoping for a "bitch...jerk" moment too!

Well, I hope we'll have a good, but I mean a really GOOD reunion scene. We didn't have a proper goodbye, by the way. Bobby got a hug, but Dean didn't. I'm a girl, and I appreciate a chick flick moment once in a while. I've been waiting for a hug since the beginning of Season 4 and it's like FOREVER!! Please, Sera, be good to us. :D
