Supernatural Fans Accomplish Substantial Fundraising Goal!

July 20, 2009 - http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com is thrilled to announce its 2009 Supernatural Fan Initiative has surpassed its fundraising goal.  The campaign collected over $2,000 on July 19th alone, bringing the grand total in donations to over $10,000!  Coincidentally, July 19th was Jared Padalecki’s birthday.  Clearly the fans of this Supernatural star were in a giving mood!

http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com was founded as a way to generate interest in and attention for Supernatural while also benefitting non-profit organizations.  In 2008, http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com raised a total of $5,000 for non-profits.  In 2009, the web site’s founders doubled their goal.

“I almost fell off my chair yesterday,” said http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com co-founder Lindsay Warren.  “So many large donations came in! Thank you all so very much!”

“We don’t yet have the words to properly thank everyone in the amazing Supernatural fandom.  We are floored and awed by their generosity,” said http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com co-founder Heather Vitas.

Checks made out to “A Dog’s Life Rescue” will be accepted as well as are PayPal donations.  Contact heatherandlindsay@supportsupernatural.com for further information.

Though the goal has been met, http://www.facebook.com/l/;SupportSupernatural.com will continue to raise funds for “A Dog’s Life Rescue” until the http://www.facebook.com/l/;FirstGiving.com fundraising web page expires in mid-September.

There are fantastic Supernatural giveaways each and every month of the campaign as an incentive to donate.  July giveaways include:

An original Supernatural drawing created by a fan, the original Supernatural soundtrack composed by Christopher Lennertz, a Friday the 13th movie poster, an oversized Jensen Ackles photo, three Supernatural buttons (featuring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins), one Supernatural novel entitled Bone Key autographed by the author, a Richard Speight, Jr. autographed photo, a 2008 oversized Supernatural Comic Con bag AND a Misha Collins autographed photo!  Anyone who donates a minimum of $20 USD in July is eligible to win these fantastic prizes.
