See The CW Congrats Poster to Supernatural For People's Choice Awards

The CW has released a new promotional poster congratulating Supernatural for it's People's Choice Award wins.  Hey, I'm thrilled that The CW would do any type of promotion over Supernatural winning The People's Choice Awards for Favorite Network Drama and Favorite SciFi/Fantasy Show.  A promotional poster can be pretty exciting!  

However, not to spoil the mood or anything, but did the person who created this ever watch the show?  Talk about a tone that just isn't what this show is about.  Perhaps it's just me.  I digress though, any type of attention is better than none at all.  Below is the poster.

I think it looks great, very much in tone with the show. What's wrong with it?

I mean, how many nights havent they spent at cemeteries?

I'm not sure really, but it didn't quite have that American feel to me. Sure they go to cemeteries, but all those crosses? Not exactly something you see much around here.

It's just me. I'm sure most love it!

I like the poster. So glad they got some attention from CW.

Alice, I totally understand your first impression of this promo poster for two reasons: #1) Whittling down everything we know about SPN to make a visual suggestion that it is some show about cemeteries and bats and "things that go bump in the night" seems a poor parody. #2) This poster is such a change from the usual derelict rooms with lounging figures of Dean and Sam we have grown used to seeing from The CW. However upon further consideration, I agree with the other posters who have said that this image strikes just the right note and is consistent with not only the tone but also the story
of SPN. I especially like the way the picture of the two brothers is aligned so that Dean's right eye also lines up perfectly with where Sam's left eye would be.

I for one am delighted to see The CW put ANY effort or expense in to celebrating SPN.

I'm with Alice in that my first impression says....that's not Supernatural. But, like our beloved show, the poster takes a bit of considering and closer examination (to the point where I would say those are crows or ravens, not bats).

It does fit with the theme of the show, it's just not what I would have done. Not for this season either. Really, when's the last time we saw them in a grave yard?

But, I think it's wonderful that the CW put out a poster. Regardless of how it was announce on the PCAs, we, the fans, got 2 PCAs for Supernatural. Richly deserved by all the cast and crew.
