Hello, everyone! I had a few minutes of free time (amazing, huh?) so I thought I'd post a few pictures of baby Rowan and family.
First off, I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone for your well-wishes. It was very sweet of all of you to comment, and I definitely appreciated it, so thanks! We're all adjusting to life as a new family, but things are going pretty well so far, and I'm crossing my fingers that they continue going well. Life sure does change with a new baby (understatement) but it's been amazing so far, and I can't wait to see what else is in store. Now on to some pictures!
Here's Rowan and me after delivery. If it looks like we're in a bedroom it's because I delivered at the Midwife Center of Pittsburgh, so we pretty much were in a bedroom! We were able to have a natural birth, so if I look really tired it's because, well, 24 hours of labor with no drugs will do that!
Here she is all swaddled up a couple hours after delivery. Of course, she decided that swaddle cloth was too clean and decided to spit up all over it and break it in.
Here she is all bundled up in her Moby wrap with Mr. Ardeospina. He took her for her first walk in the warm autumn weather. Have to take advantage of that before it gets cold and rainy! She's five days old here, in case you're wondering.
And here's another five-day old shot. She's being held by my mom, who flew in from California for the week and has been extremely helpful and great. In fact, she's holding Rowan right now while she fusses a bit so I can finish posting this!
That's it for now! Best wishes from the three of us!
