"It is not intended to be the last season. We'll see how the ratings go. We hope it keeps going. We'll take it one step at a time." He also gave a weird answer about the show's longevity that runs in the "no duh" territory to fans, but hey, a CW president talking about the show? I'll take it. "It's about the love to two brothers and two really good looking guys. And I think that transcends the supernatural."
Misha Collins was also at the event and talked to a few media outlets. I'll post the links here, but the interviews are kind of spoilery. The spoilery details can be found on the spoiler page but for those that want to read the actual interviews, here you go!

UPDATED: Also, even though Jared let this spill at the New Jersey con earlier in July, this week it was announced officially that The CW was indeed extending it's season episode order of four shows, including "Supernatural." "Gossip Girl" is getting 2 additional episodes (24), and "Supernatural," "Nikita," and "90210" are getting one each. That means 23 for "Supernatural"! Such faith and love makes me happy.

Season 7 sounds like it will be better than season 6, which was a pretty good season, once we got rid of the soulless One, but we will have HellMemoriesSam to deal with, which will give us BigBrotherDean.
I love BigBrotherDean almost as much as I love SniperDean.
48 mofo days left. Chuckdamn it!
Do you realize, after One Tree Hill finishes its 13 episode season and SPN continues on to 23 episodes, SPN will be the CW's longest running drama?
One Tree Hill and Smallville have seasons on SPN overall between the WB and the CW, but just on the CW -- SPN will last the longest. Honestly who would have thought that Dawn's redheaded stepchild of a show would STILL be on the air going into S7?
Its just awesomecakes with a side of awesome sauce.
One more episode for Supernatural? Wow... I like!
As a loyal fan of the show, I am happy to hear that it seems Pedowitz would like Supernatural to go beyond season seven, however I also hope that they stop before they run out of good scripts... There have been shows around in the past that simply lost in the quality section despite great acting. I'd prefer Supernatural to go off air while it is still one of the best tv shows around...
Gosh, I am soooo curious where this season will go!
Thanks a million, Alice!
