Happy 29th Birthday Jared!!!

Jared started to take acting lessons when he was 12. Then, he won the "Claim to Fame" Contest in 1999 and appeared on the Teen Choice awards. After graduating Madison High School in the year 2000, he moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue an acting career.
He came to fame in the early 2000s after appearing on the television series “Gilmore Girls” where he portrayed Dean Forester. In 2005, he moved to Vancouver BC and took the role Sam Winchester on “Supernatural.”
He also has several feature film credits including the remake of 1953's “House of Wax” with Paris Hilton and “Cry Wolf” both released in 2005.

In 2008, he landed the lead role as Thomas Kinkade in “Christmas Cottage” which is a look at the inspiration behind Thomas Kinkade's painting The Christmas Cottage, and how the artist was motivated to begin his career after discovering his mother was in danger of losing their family home.

He also had the lead role in the horror remake “Friday the 13th” film in 2009. He played Clay Miller, a brother in search of his missing sister at the doomed Camp Crystal Lake.

We all prefer his brotherly role in “Supernatural” and Jared is just as happy to play the part. Padalecki said: “If it weren’t for Supernatural, I wouldn’t have a lot of the blessings that I have today, so I’m going to play it out. I’m going to give it my all. I’ll be with the cast and crew for the remainder [of the show's run], as long as the fans want us on the air and the network obliges.” He continues, “I’m still pretty young,” he said. “I’m not going to be 29 for another month, so if the show goes another year, I’m 30. If it goes for five years, I’m 34. I think I’m hopefully in the dawn of my career, not in the dusk, so I think I’d be happier sticking it out with Supernatural.”
Jared is known for his kind nature, his funny stunts on the set and his lovely puppy-dog eyes….oh and let’s not forget the hair which gets as much publicity and his portrayal of Sam Winchester itself.

And Jared loves to join in the fun.
But his hair is not the only attributes Jared loves to tease his fans with.
His on set humor always give fans a lot of laughs. Whether it his dancing routines, silliness or just harassing his costars on set, the fans get a kick out of all his antics.

And, of course, Jared reserves some of his antics just for the fans. From his teasing ‘tummy’, to his ‘air kiss,’

To his rather unique way of entering the stage for a “Supernatural” convention,

Moose and his band of Moosekateers will be an integral part of “Supernatural” forever.

His antics take a very serious turn regarding his spouse however. After a whirlwind courtship and an engagement of a one month, Jared married his former "Supernatural” guest star, Genevieve Padalecki (nee: Cortese) on February 27, 2010 in her hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho.

All of us here at the Winchester Family Business wish Jared a very happy birthday, many years of acting success, many, many years of happiness with his bride and a long a successful run as Sam Winchester on “Supernatural.” We also hope he is still Sam well into his thirties!
