Today TV Shows on DVD was able to confirm officially from Warner Brothers the release date of Supernatural Season 6 on DVD and Blu-Ray for North America.

Yes, this fine season, and perhaps the pretty snake cover too (although not confirmed) can be yours on... September 13th!!!  The set has been available for pre-order since right around the time season five was released.  We endorse Amazon.com here for your pre-order desires and will be running the link to that particular set all summer on the right hand side of the site pages.   

Here's the season summary that comes with the DVD, but there's no word on what features will come with the set yet.  I'll relay that info (as will TV Shows on DVD) as soon as it becomes available.  

The prize: ending the Apocalypse. The price: Sam's life. Season 5's horrific finale left Dean alone, as Sam descended into Hell. Ack! Supernatural makes me both happy and crazy. Happy because I loved watching the Winchesters brothers reconnect and hope they stay like this for awhile. Crazy because of the season 6 cliffhanger. Any spoilers/info yet on season 7? There’s a chicken pot pie in it for you if you have anything to share! – Zora

Will a Spoiler Room exclusive on the season 6 DVD (official release date Sept. 13) do the trick? In addition to the features you might have already heard will be on the DVD set (like the Jensen Ackles: A Director’s Journey featurette, the Supernatural and the Quest for the Soul featurette, and two episodes of the anime series) I’m told EPs Robert Singer and Ben Edlund and showrunner Sera Gamble will do commentary on “Clap Your Hands If you Believe” and “The French Mistake.” I personally love commentary from the bosses because they’re the ones who know where everything is headed. You never know what they might reveal…
