According to The Numbers, Supernatural had a great first week for US DVD sales of season five!!! Supernatural sold a whopping 193,827 units!! That's not as much as last year, but way better than previous seasons. The total revenue came to $7,363,488. This happened on a week with many high profile DVD season releases, including the always huge The Office, which sold 267,462 units. Supernatural came in second for TV releases, besting Smallville which sold 166,680.
This is the biggest recent release in the first week for Warner Brothers, who's Vampire Diaries only sold 121,907 (179,295 in two weeks), Chuck 76,302, Gossip Girl 64,059, and One Tree Hill 33,928.

Season Four: 238,081
Season Three: 104,979
Season Two: 69,000 (rounded)
Season One: 101,000 (rounded)
