As announced earlier, Ardeospina had little Rowan on October 12th at 10:20 pm. I've checked all the baby pool entries, and coming in with the closest guess at October 12th at 2:45 pm is madhockey6! It should be noted Jasminka was actually closer with the time, October 13th at 5:20 am, but guessing the actual date trumps the actual time.
Thanks to all those that entered. Since the time wasn't within an hour, madhockey6 wins The Supernatural Season Five and Season Six Official Companions. Please contact me madhockey6 through the Contact Us area for arrangements, or I'll also try your email address on file.
Thank you to everyone that submitted entries. This has been so much fun.

Ardeospina and Mr. Ardeospina are now parents of a beautiful baby girl!
Rowan was born on October 12th at 10:20 pm. She's 21 inches long and weighs 7 lbs 14.5 ounces. Baby, mom, dad, they're all great. Arde was in labor for 24 hours, so I can imagine she's a bit tired.
Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share later, but in the meantime, I need to go through all the entries and see who won the baby pool.

The rumors broke on Lainey Gossip yesterday that a certain Mr. and Mrs. Padalecki were expecting their first baby, so Jared decided to address the rumors on his Twitter today. It's been a fun few hours watching him make eager fans twist in the wind. But the news is good. Here are the tweets:
@jarpad: Hey guys- I've been hearing a lotta rumors and getting a lotta questions so I'd like to go ahead and say that OF COURSE I'm not pregnant!
@jarpad: Ooohh!! Jeez well now I feel silly. Sorry, i simply fundamentally misunderstood the inquiries. To clarify, "I" am not pregnant, and "Genevive
@jarpad: Stupid character limit! Sorry-I was about to tell yall something and it cut me off! Wont happen again. Now what was it y'all were wondering?
@jarpad: OK yall I'd rather you officially hear it from me.. So, yes. Genevieve is pregnant. We'll be welcoming a new member to our family in 2012 :)
Congratulations to Jared and Genevieve from all of us here at The Winchester Family Business. As a mother of two, I can no doubt say that their lives are so about to change, but it'll be worth it. I hope their child doesn't harrass him about his hair like my girl did. Teenage girls can be so cheeky!

Wonder where Supernatural's ratings have been? Here's where. DVRs.
I've been waiting eagerly for these ratings to come out since Supernatural's live numbers have been so low. TV By The Numbers.com finally released the Live +7 DVR ratings for season premiere week (September 19th - 25th).
Supernatural ranked #1 in percentage of viewers gained with Live + 7 DVR numbers factored in 18-49. That's the rating advertisers care about. Their ratings in 18-49 increased a whopping 63 percent! The ratings for "Meet The New Boss" were adjusted upward to a 1.3 18-49 rating, up from their .8 live plus same day DVR rating.
Just for perspective, only one show on The CW even comes remotely close to a 1.3 live rating, and that's The Vampire Diaries. When other CW shows had their DVR ratings factored in, both Ringer and The Secret Circle got a 1.3 as well, but they had a higher .9 live rating. America's Next Top Model only came in at a 1.1, Nikita a .9, and 90210 a 1.0. The Vampire Diaries got a 1.7.
It also should be noted that the competition Fringe finished 3rd on the list, going up 53% from a 1.5 to a 2.3. Sounds like watching live on Fridays may not be a priority, but Friday shows still getting noticed.
The chart can be found here, but I can tell you that since TV By The Numbers has done these DVR charts, Supernatural has never finished number one and never close to 63%. That's a pretty large jump for any show.
The CW loves to spin DVR numbers, so this is all good.

For all of you that live outside the United States (and our statistics show that's about 50 percent of you), I need your help! I'm currently researching an article investigating Supernatural's standing in the current foreign markets. Finding out where it is airing now is proving to be impossible! This is the kind of information I'm looking for:
1. What channel is it airing in your country?
2. What season? (please indicate the season coming up if on hiatus)
3. If applicable, what other channels has it aired?
4. Are any repeats (seasons 1 - 6) airing on any channels in your country?
For example, I'll cover the United States:
1. The CW
2. Season seven
3. The now defunct WB, season one
4. Yes, TNT. Airing for two hours Monday - Friday, 10 am - 11 am
Just answer what you can if you don't know. Any info helps! I thank you for your support.

It's that time of week again. Time to share all the wonderful Supernatural episode reviews about "Hello, Cruel World" from other sites.
Before I get to the reviews though, I do have something really cool to recommend. Our friends at Winchester Bros had the honor of episode director Guy Norman Bee guesting on their weekly podcast. He shared so much great info about directing "Hello, Cruel World." It's really worthwhile!

Oh boy, I do love it when new episodes air. Once we're done with our reviews here, it's time for me to go read some of my favorite writers and their thoughts on a show we all love. Here is my "review roundup" for "Meet The New Boss."

As you all may or may not know, our Managing Editor and maven of the Motivational Posters here at the Winchester Family Business, Ardeospina, it's quite large now expecting her first child. It's our first Winchester Family Business baby!
I started a Baby Pool on our forum, but it seems to have run out of steam. Since Ardeospina is due within the next few weeks, it was time to open it up here. So let me go through the guidelines again.
Throw your guesses in for the following:
- Date of birth
- Time of birth (please specify am or pm). Ardeospina is in the US Eastern time zone, if that makes a difference.
- Just in case we run into a tiebreaker situation, guess the weight too. You see, the sex is already known (I'll let Ardeospina share that if she wants) and many of us know it, so gender is off the table.
I could go crazy with things like "Looks like Mom or Dad" or "Will it scream it's fool head off when it comes out?" but I'll keep it simple. Clever comments about the kid being a shapeshifting boy or girl, sometimes, will be accepted, though it really has no relevance to the contest. We just like weird comments.
Did I mention there are prizes? The person that comes the closest with the date and time guess wins!
The grand prize is a copy of the recently released Supernatural Season Six Companion Book. Also, you get a copy of the Season Five one as well. All those books really share some great behind the scenes stuff and this volume is no exception.
But wait, there's an incentive prize. If anyone guesses within an hour of the birth, you win a Supernatural Season Six DVD set. That's on top of the companion books.
For those 13 of you that already guessed in the forum, your entries are official and on the record. No need to resubmit unless you want to add the weight now.
Here's my guess, just for bragging rights. I'm not eligible to win. :( October 9th at 4:15 pm. Weight, 8 lbs 9 oz.
Already everyone, ready-set-go! Get your guesses in now. Oh, and no taking someone else's guess and adding a minute to it. I'll list the other entries made in the comments below.
Good luck everyone, but especially Ardeospina. She really doesn't know what she's getting into, does she?

UPDATED: I have Blu-Ray numbers now! See Below
TheNumbers.com released their weekly US DVD Sales chart today for the week ending September 18th. Supernatural Season Six in its first week of sales had another strong outing. Supernatural sold 182,479 units for total revenue of $6,567,419. That's second to The Big Bang Theory in terms of TV on DVD sets and better than the second season of Glee and other shows. The full list can be found at the link below.
In comparison to season five's sales last year, season six is slightly lower. Of course both season five and six pale in comparison to season four, which many consider to be Supernatural's best season. Here are the sales for previous seasons:
Season Five: 193,827 units
Season Four: 245,047 (adjusted from previous reports) Season Three: 104,979
Season Two: 69,000 (rounded)
Season One: 101,000 (rounded)
UPDATE: This was just released. 19,405 Blu-Ray units were sold, for total Blu-Ray revenue of $873,406.

Troy Foreman, who has been doing for a while now a fantastic series of podcasts for the TV show Millenium, which he interviewed most of their actors and producers, started a new podcast recently called The PC Principle. I had the huge honor of being his first guest! Troy and I had a great chat about Supernatural last weekend. He is a huge fan, has been watching Supernatural since the beginning and couldn't think of a better show to feature in his first podcast for this series.
Among our general chatting about Supernatural through the seasons, we both shared our personal favorite top five episodes list. They were completely different! Find out if you agree with either. The podcast can be found here:

Wow, I was waiting for this to come out on Monday, but TV Line managed to wet our appetites a little early. It's a two minute clip from next week's Supernatural Season Premiere! I've got the video here.
Oh yeah, massive Spoiler Alert. This clip picks up exactly where we left off last season. It gives away the beginning. So turn away now, or be like me and scream to the high Heavens "WHY ISN'T IS SEPTEMBER 23RD YET???"

MTV just sent us the links to these two great new interviews that were posted today on their site from Jensen and Jared. Warning, they're slightly (and I mean very slight) spoilery. Mostly they're great interviews!
The first is both of them talking about Jensen directing another episode this season.

An awesome producer at MTV has just informed me that Supernatural will be featured in a segment on their show "10 On Top" this Saturday, 9/17 at 11:30 am. Jared and Jensen talk about the new season, the season 6 gag reel, and answer fan questions. The previous segments from last season have really been popular and I'm so happy that MTV keeps coming back for more.
As a bonus, there will be another segment in a few weeks too, one that will feature a tour of the set! So look out for that as well.
Please, help me spread the word and get those DVRs ready! Something like this requires multiple viewings, especially when both Jared and Jensen are featured. Something goofy and fun usually erupts.

Yes, it's the big day. The time each year where I go off to some retail outlet to get my newly released copy of Supernatural on DVD before they sell out (which they often do by the end of the day). Of course I tend to pick the place that gives me the best bonus for the best price. Last year that place was Best Buy, this year, I'm not so sure yet.
This year Best Buy is offering a free t-shirt if you buy Supernatural Season Six on DVD (nothing with Blu-Ray). The DVD set is priced at $39.99, and the Blu-Ray set is at $44.99. Stuck at work and want to get a set before it's gone? Go to the website and order for store pickup. They'll hold it for you. They did this for me last year and it was great!
Target has a slightly better deal. They have the DVD set for $37.99 and Blu-Ray for $42.99. It also comes with a bonus 30 minute Q & A. It doesn't say of what, but they have something extra. Target.com is actually down right now! Maybe we crashed it or something. So, I suggest going to the store if you can.
Amazon.com has a great price. The DVD set is $36.99 and the Blu-Ray set is $42.99. Use the links below, or click on the Order Season Six Amazon ad that we've been running on this site the last few months.
Walmart.com has the best price, beating Amazon at $36.96 (yes, 3 cents!) but their Blu-Ray is more expensive at $44.96. Beware though, the price on the website is not necessarily the price in the store. I'm not sure what that is right now.

There have been a couple of fantastic, high profile interviews to come out in the last couple of days with Jensen and Jared that just have to be shared! For anyone tearing their hair out for any new info about season seven, these interviews fit the bill!
Oh, right, the disclaimer. If you click on these links, MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Again, I usually save these things for the spoiler page, but we're all chomping at the bit and The CW seems to be ahead of the game. Just today we got some preview photos for 7.01 - "Meet the New Boss," and now, here's the description for episode 7.02. The title, "Hello Cruel World." It's Guy Bee's episode, so it's got to have something to it.

Normally I save this sort of thing for the spoiler page (and yes, it'll be there too), but considering we're all chomping at the bit for the season to begin, I thought I'd share. The CW has released the official synopsis of the Supernatural season seven premiere. Below is the info.
